People and Sidewalks

I walk/run my dog Socks a couple times a day. In a city, where people don't seem to comprehend the universal rule that you ALWAYS walk on the right when you are approaching someone, I struggle with the awkward game of chicken several times a day. They confuse poor Socks and they make me angry. I basically want to wear a huge arrow on my head to tell them what to do.
