It appears that Michael Jackson had the courage to envision himself as a work of art and went about doing just that. What made some powerful pundits and the not-so-powerful upset was his very public re-creation of himself outside the constructs of race and gender stereotypes. It made the powerful upset because we all have that kind of power to re-design ourselves physically, emotionally, or psychologically. We all have that power. If we all acted on our power, the ruling class would be out of business. Continue reading
