I agree with you in a way - I think we're only using half our mind. We're not working holistically with our mind. Maybe that's where that (now often over-used) Einstein quote (about problems not being able to be solved at the level at which they were created) comes in handy. The solution to breaking the current status is to move to a more holistic, less left-brain approach and deal with the messes we've created.
