I take between 10,000 and 20,000 iu per day - right now I'm going with 15,000 every morning with the light box and my other assorted pills - I think it's pretty hard to overdo it in Seattle in the winter. But if you're wondering - getting your levels checked might not be a bad idea.
No particular brand - I do like the liquid with the dropper but I'm not sure that it actually works better than just making sure to take enough.
I am super prone to SAD (and depression in general) which is not helped by the fact that I live in Seattle. All these tips are great - I would add one other thing that helps me is Vitamin D - massive doses - I started taking it when I got my vitamin D levels tested during pregnancy (2 winter pregnancies in a row 2008-9 and 2009-10)
