BAHA event survey results Big thanks to the BAHA community for participating in our 2018 event survey! We collected a lot of good information about meetings, and what people would like to get from BAHA as an organization. Here is a quick review of what we learned from your responses: We asked what would motivate you to attend BAHA events. Your answers included types of interesting content, in addition to networking and socializing. We learned that this question could have been more precise as each person’s version of desired content is different, and we would have liked more specifics. The... Continue reading

Invitation from Samantha Conboy, President of the Council for Homeopathic Certification In following best practices and to maintain our accreditation, we need to conduct another job analysis which is done every 3-5 years. This analysis assesses the basic knowledge and skills that are important to be a competent entry level homeopath. Because this is our second job analysis, we have a great foundation to start from. As a group, we will be looking at the current domains and statements on the exam and collectively decide if they need to be edited in any way. After our review, a survey will... Continue reading

ATTENTION As most of you are aware, the FDA has proposed new guidance on how homeopathic medicine is regulated in December, 2017 to a risk-based approach. They are taking comments from the public on this proposed change for two more days. This change would potentially render all homeopathic medicines that haven't gone through clinical trials for efficacy illegal, i.e. not available for sale, even though they mention that they will start by focusing on those that pose the greatest risk to consumers. They are also proposing to do away with CPG 400.400, which gave clear guidance for what is a... Continue reading

Dear BAHA Community, There are many people in the SF Bay area seeking low cost homeopathic care, and it is a challenge for them to find it. With the closing of all of the local schools, there is a need for more reliable, findable sources of lower cost care. Our Low Cost & Clinic page on the BAHA website has been a popular resource over the years. I firmly believe that offering low cost care at a specific date and time, and/ or at a specific price (or consistently donation-based) is a very accessible way to offer this kind of...
