Detroit’s Protomartyr play a sold out show at the Echo tonight with Seattle’s cooly minimal Chastity Belt and L.A.’s own Shark Toys rounding out the bill of rough-edged guitar bands. Shark Toys sing praise to the icon of Los Angeles streets in “Pot Holes.” Protomartyr play tonight Thursday March 3, 2016 at the Echo, (1812 W. Sunset Blvd., Los Angeles, CA 90026), with Chastity Belt and Shark Toys. The show is sold out. Doors at 8:30, 18+. Protomartyr have released three albums in the past three years, each more urgent than the last as if raging against profound loss and the acceleration of time that weigh on bandleader Joe Casey.
