Eve Marie Carson (November 19, 1985 – March 5, 2008) was a student leader at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where she served as Student Body President and was a recipient of the prestigious Morehead-Cain scholarship. Eve Carson was killed senselessly in an apparent carjacking on March 5, 2008 in Chapel Hill, NC. Eve Carson was from Athens, Goergia. As in high school, her fellow students at UNC elected her president of the student body. She volunteered, studied abroad in Cuba, taught science in a local school and majored in both biology and political science. Her Clarke Central High School Principal, Maxine Easom described Carson as "one of the finest young women you ever could know. Eve Carson was brilliant, without arrogance. She was beautiful, without vanity. She was generous, without self-importance." In my opinion, she was the definition of love. She loved anyone and everyone. She will forever be missed, forever loved, and will be forever in our hearts. May she rest in peace.
