I'm 22 years old and not in a relationship. It hasn't been until recently, that I really found out what "love' means. Which is really weird, because it's my last name! Anyway, I had this best friend who I thought loved me, and I thought I loved, but I found myself talking about her all the time. Complaining on what she could have done better and how she wasn't good enough. All this time I thought that she was my best friend, and that I loved her more then anyone...even myself. The truth is, I love her so much more now then I ever did before. We recently got in a huge fight, and we haven't spoken to each other since November. I've found myself calling and texting her, all the time, expressing how sorry I was and how much I loved her, and that I loved her because I felt like I needed her. Which is just wrong. Now, I'm able to say that I do love her. I love her enough to let her go. We had so many great years together, but sometimes good memories aren't enough. For the first time I'm seeing that sometimes the thing you love the most you have to let go. I love you Deanna P. Thank you so much for showing me the true meaning of love.
