Facebook, Cauliflower And How Liking Anything Just Became Important Again
I actively hate cauliflower. In marketing terms, you could call me a brand dectractor ... as I am generally pretty vocal about my dislike of the sweat-sock-smelling-mush-flavored vegetable. Hate is often extreme like that, and most of us believe passionately in what we dislike. What we "like" on the other hand, has been getting devalued for some time. Five years ago, I might have described my likes with a similar passion. Now I might click a "like" button just to download a free PDF, or get a coupon for a free drink. Facebook made the "Like" button a price of... Continue reading

Two truths about juggling
1. Throwing is more important than catching. If you're good at throwing, the catching takes care of itself. Emergency response is overrated compared to emergency avoidance. via sethgodin.typepad.com Love this... Failure can be a powerful tool if you learn from your failure while moving forward.. Observing a Classroom? Watch the Students, Not the Teacher
As a rookie teacher, I frequently had sleepless Sunday nights, worried about my lesson plans for the week ahead. I would second guess my teaching by asking myself - "what will I be doing, why am I doing it, how do I know it would work?" via peterpappas.blogs.com Great article!!! Nicely done Peter! As kids we're taught that sharing is caring – who do you love to share stuff with and why?
I love to share my love for Christ, for my family and friends.. I also love to share things that I have that someone in need can use. Doing without expecting anything in return, but just for the sheer joy that 1) you can and 2) too see that look on somebody else's face is priceless! Continue reading

Freaky creepy Twitter knows really does know who is similar to me
I've been using the new Twitter client for a few weeks. While I normally use Tweetdeck for every day Twitter activity on my notebook computer, I do go to the Twitter client to see people’s profiles. Today on my Twitter profile I noticed a "Similar to You" feature on the right. It creeped me out...

Demonstrating strength
Apologize Defer to others Avoid shortcuts Tell the truth Offer kindness Seek alliances Volunteer to take the short straw Choose the long-term, sacrificing the short Demonstrate respect to all, not just the obviously strong Share credit and be public in your gratitude Risking the appearance of weakness takes strength. And the market knows it. via sethgodin.typepad.com Love this!! Great words to live by! Continue reading

Cindy, great article.. With aggregators like Hootsuite, the time drain is no longer an issue! What most people need to know is that there are conversations happening around your company and/or niche market. Whether you choose to participate is what will set you apart from the rest. Hence, once you have started to participate what you do with that valuable information will contribute as well!

Linked In, Facebook, and Finance Executives
Are there any synergies created for CFOs and other Finance Executives by using both Linked In and Facebook? I’ve actually blogged about this several times in the past, but the question was raised again ... so I’m happy to respond again. I believe there are synergies. The traditional view, and o...
