I remember when I came in, I was known as 'the guy who comments on the blog a lot'! The real mark is that even nine years on plenty of agencies still use this as the benchmark for what an agency blog should be. *applause* (or something like that)
Agreed. The Santander ad looks a bit of a mess, but the Tesco stuff is both functionally great and well crafted too.
It's a flawed system all right. The problem is (as you say) how pitches are used and run in some cases. Maybe there needs to be some clearer understanding of just how much pitches cost, and that abusing the pitching process just puts costs up for everybody.
Well done folks!

That's actually a pretty good list. There's a few other acts I might have expected but mostly it seems well thought out. I love that Liberty Bell / Monty Python theme is in there. That might be the only one some Americans recognise :)
Either someone had a good joke, or Aflac found an amusing way to get some exposure!
I thought that was a made up phobia based upon an old Far Side comic?
When you need a whole 'Fag Warning' bar for the logo's that make no difference to the end audience whatsoever you know something went wrong...

Now there is a brand process parody to make... LoveHandles
Or more accurately: nothing worth doing is ever easy.
Nothing easy is ever worth doing as they say... Best of luck in the new job!
The fact that you even considered 12 dots is good! Hope you are well Ben. As someone who enjoys a synthesizer I appreciate the dial more than most :)

Only if the first dot is a 'one' not 'zero'! But as long as in principle it goes to 11 that is fine by me.

Love the logo, wish it went to 11 though...

I would have posted you my 12" copies of Travelogue and Penthouse and Pavement too... Dignity of Labour, that must be a rare one now? (Lived by Sheffield long enough to know far too much about THL and H17)
The Martyn Ware... Was it in the W+K penthouse or the Spitalfields' pavement?
Darn you folks for not making me miss the pirate and cyclist... It has elements of the old 'cows want it back' only much better. Love it.
