One particular assumption of the OA, the idea that there must be something that is the greatest (or least) of some quality, doesn't actually hold consistently over all systems. For instance, what is the largest real number that is less than 1? There isn't one. If you take the complex plane and remove the origin, what is the shortest line between 1 and -1? There isn't one. Even in a purely a priori system like mathematics the notion of greatest or least (however you want to quantify or qualify it) doesn't always exist. Therefore the central argument of OA (i.e. the idea that there must be an entity that is the superlative) falls apart before it even gets started.
