Hello Danish. Welcome to the club. I just found this site the other day and quickly learned we aren't the only ones who feel that way. ZoeC is right, when you see such a spectacular world like Pandora coupled with the beautiful way of life of the Na'vi, it just kinda blows being human on earth lol. If the human race was more spiritual and in touch with nature, I'm sure we wouldn't be feeling half as bad. But hey, it is what it is. I've been dragging myself these past few days after I saw the movie and I just want more of it. The more I think about it, the more I want it, and the more depressed I become... vicious cycle

I just found this website about an hour ago and I'm so happy I did. I hate the gut wrenching feeling I've had for the past few days about this life I have and the world we live in. It all seems wrong when we compare it to Pandora. It's a horrible feeling, to the point where it's affecting my daily activities! I've officially joined the club I guess. Good to know I'm not alone though. I'm generally a very happy person. I don't have many complaints in my life. But you know you've been impacted when you're willing to give it all up for the same "fresh start" the Jake had. It's scary, but if I somehow was given a magical opportunity to live on Pandora, I'd throw my life away here to live it. But as scary as it is, it's good to know that I've found people on this blog that would join me : ) Nicholas, I'm glad you've found a way to bring AVATAR to your life and applied it to form your life dream. Your post was also in the thread where I first discovered the site. Good luck man! Hey so has anyone read "AVATAR: An Activist's Survival Guide"? My plan is to learn as much as I can about the Na'vi and their way of life. Maybe one day I'll find it in myself to apply their noble ways back in the real world
YESS!!! I found it!! It's quite a feeling to find a blog where you are at home. Mercer12579, I also thought something was wrong with me. It's a relief to know I'm not alone. Tony and Foekie, I feel you! i watched it with my girlfriend and I can't talk to her about it because she wasn't nearly as moved as I was. And I'll sound crazy lol. I understand Nicholas and others who want to remember that Pandora does not exist, but I just saw it a few days ago, and I'm not ready to give it up!! I will however, descend back to reality and end up having the same experience blackswan did (watching the making, good advice btw). But for now, I'm in love with the Na'vi and their way of life. I'm planning on getting a copy of "Avatar: An Activist Survival Guide". It should help me cope with that feeling of emptiness. I want to learn more about them. Then eventually, I can apply their harmonious way to life to my real world. Anyone read it yet? Thank you all for sharing your thoughts. I've been searching the web for quite some time for answers as to why I feel this way. And I'm glad I found it. I'll checking back here often! : )
