By Jonathan Vilma I thought the Super Bowl was a very good game. It definitely didn’t play out like I thought it would as far as the ebb and flow of the game, but it was still very good. You had two good teams matched up. You had one quarterback... Continue reading

By Ross Coleman The Super Bowl XLV halftime show was the boldest return to cutting edge musical acts since the infamous Janet Jackson wardrobe malfunction. Are we better off with current acts getting funky or classic acts waxing nostalgic? Here’s our wish list for the 2012 halftime show and beyond.... Continue reading

During halftime of the Super Bowl one thing that I learned is that as the game gets longer, the halftime gets longer and the commercials are longer. The first thing that you have to do is get off of your feet. The second thing you have to do is realize that the halftime is going to be longer. It is going to almost be like starting the game all over again. You might as well get prepared to understand that it is not just the first half but the second half will start off just like the first half. It will be just like you are playing in another game. By the time you get through with halftime because halftime is so long you find yourself kicking your legs up and find yourself doing some things that you had not done all year long. The Super Bowl moment that I had at halftime is that it is all about relaxing and realizing that I am getting ready to play another new game.

By Ronnie Lott Well, here I am in Dallas, the home of football. The home of the Star. The home of Roger Staubach. The home of Jerry Jones. The home of where people think the greatest game is about to take place, the Super Bowl. Yes the Super Bowl. This... Continue reading

By Ryan Faller At halftime of Super Bowl I between the Green Bay Packers and Kansas City Chiefs, the marching bands of the University of Arizona and Grambling State University joined a local drill team to entertain a crowd of more than 60,000 at Los Angeles’ Coliseum. An estimated 51... Continue reading

By Ronnie Lott Last week’s games were pretty exciting. Both of them came down to the fourth quarter and both games had some excellent opportunities to take advantage of the situations. You saw Ben Roethlisbeger and his ability to take advantage of the Jets defense early on and when they... Continue reading

The game itself is going to be a classic. This game has the makings to be very exciting by just knowing both teams, their quarterbacks and their defenses. This could be a game where if either team were to be down, both teams have the ability to come back. This could be a game where you see a lot of turnovers on both sides. This could be a game where you can start to see guys begin to dominate and guys being dominated because they are just more physical than the opponent. This game represents a lot of different elements but for me the one thing that I am going with is that I am going to stick with the sixth seed. Know why am I going to stick with the sixth seed? There is something about this year 2011 that is telling me that the sixth seed has that scent. It is nothing else there other than the belief that, that is all that it is. It is hard to predict. It is hard to go out and say that it is the quarterback. It is hard to say that it is the west coast offense. It is hard to say that it is the Dom Capers defense. It is even hard to say that Green Bay can even beat the Steelers. I am just going to take the Packers because they are the sixth seed. The sixth seed in 2011, there is something special about it. That is how I would gamble in Vegas. We will see how lucky I am. I actually don’t even understand what the odds mean. I really don’t care about anything that goes on. All I do care about is that the sixth seed win. What I can tell you is that this has been an incredible run for the Packers. This will be something that will go down in history as a sixth seed goes all the way to win the Super Bowl. To me that will go down as one of the great stories in sports and football. It will be one of the great storied franchises that is led by a new quarterback, a new Brett Favre, a new Bart Starr and his name is Aaron Rodgers. That is why football is so amazing. I hope you all enjoy the game.

By Tunch Ilkin When you look back upon this Steelers season, it almost seems surreal. The Steelers came into training camp this year with more questions than answers. There were questions about the Steelers offense and what they would do without their franchise quarterback Ben Roethlisberger for the first four... Continue reading

By Tim Gleason It is extremely unusual for an NFL game to be decided by five points. On December 19, the Jets came into Heinz Field and beat the Steelers by five, 22-17. New York was aided by a safety in the north end zone. In the AFC Championship Game... Continue reading
