I absolutely love this new expansion, it's beautiful, the Water Buffalo's are an absolutely wonderful feature, the crop dryer is wonderful - and the new items you can make in the Kitchen with the Water Crops are absolutely fabulous! Whoever thought of this was a genius, I am super excited to see what the next expansion to the River is, as I already have the first 2. Huge Farmville 2 Fan! Keep up the good work and great game play, and thank you for the Appaloosa River Expansion.
The Appaloosa River Expansion!
The rainy season has caused the waters of the Appaloosa River to rise. Luckily, this has created the perfect place to plant new and exciting crops! If you are level 15 or higher, you will see the following pop-up. Click on the “Let’s go” button to get started. When you firs...
I think you mean Seth Apter's Deconstruction projects, Leslie... Leaving stuff to the elements.
I think your entire Cult of Stuff is excellent. I can see that a lot of newbie art journallers would be vulnerable to the hype and the "this is the way..." etc. It can be very daunting to start an art journal - took me 2 years to really get into it!!
Bravo on what you're doing. Have joined your Ning- CofS group too! =)
Cult of Stuff part 5
People have been making art for thousands of years. The earliest cave dwellers attempted to document their lives. Simple pigments were spit onto the wall or they applied them with sticks and twigs, these were the tools people used to document the hunt. The first art journals were on the cave wal...
Luckily (and I have tweeted this post too!), I am nearly always broke or my bills always come first... so I have been experimenting with materials and using whatever I have to hand to make art. I have had many joyous accidents along the way, resulting in "magical" discoveries (to me, anyway!) and I always research new tools/trends so thoroughly that I end up not buying them anyway!
Thank you for writing such a brilliant post! =)
Cult of Stuff part 8
“My art is better than your art.” My Art, Le Tigre Flip that sentiment on its side and you’ve got what seems to be a popular sentiment (Your art is better than my art) in the art and craft community. The industry spends a lot of time making artists and crafts people feel that their art is inferi...
Awesome results and happy students Julie!! Oh how I wish I could come to classes with you all! =)
Mixed Media Painting at the Ink Pad was Awesome!
I had a ton of fun at my Mixed Media Painting class at The Ink Pad on Saturday. Great students! Terrible weather. And tons and tons of awesome fun! I finally figured out a way to teach face painting so that people leave class thrilled with the faces they create! Yay! ...
Oooops, I meant to write "Everything"!!
Art Journal Every Day: The Everything Book
Today I'm going to talk about a different kind of art journaling. One that doesn't necessarily have all the paint and ink. The focus is more on the journaling with a smattering of the art. For me, this kind of journaling was the bridge to the kind of art journaling that I do today. In many...
Such a fab post Julie, that I referred to it in my own post today! I think the idea of an Everyday book is phenomenal! =)

Not fair! How could I have missed this? It's gorgeous!!!!! I am intrigued by Pam's workshop but the constant whingeing puts me off sharing anything on the workshop pages at all...
Maybe I am just being grumpy. I LOVE that you are altering a series of old encyclopaedias - wtg you! Inspires me to keep the old Tomes I have for just such a purpose... I'll never have to actually buy an art journal at this rate!
Stealing Your Own Material
We used to snicker when we heard songs by musicians that obviously contained bits and pieces of music they'd previously recorded. "Stealing his own material," we'd say. So when the idea of photocopying your own art journal pages as material to re-use in your own future works first surfaced a ...
Brilliant poem! I really love how you painted this owl Barbara and what big chaps they are!! So funny that he has such a round head!!
There do seem to be a lot of free places to learn and experiment don't there? So much so that I shall give the OWOH bandwagon a miss this year! It's such a mad crazy thing...
2011--Year Of The Barred Owl
The year has begun with a creative frenzy. If it continues at this pace, it will end as one of the best on record for the art blogging community. Only two-thirds of the way through January, and I've already stumbled upon dozens of new workshops, challenges and creative tutorials, all given fre...
