Shows.
Hello there to all my blog readers...it's about time I did a quick update of what's been going on around here...and mostly it's about shows! Since my last couple of posts, I've ventured out to two shows here in Ontario and thought I'd share a few photos. This year's Knitter's Fair was very well...

Shaping Shawls.
If I had to sum up Shaping Shawls, a lovely new shawl pattern book, in one word, it'd have to be breath-taking! Anna Dalvi, the book's writer and designer, manages to capture not only gorgeous lace designs expressed in several... Continue reading

Stitches & Raphaelite.
Lots on the go over here and barely any time to blog it seems. I always have good intentions to get over here and write something but with the updating of Facebook, Twitter, Ravelry and Google+, my blog is falling down on the priority list. I really shouldn't be neglecting it as I can write mor...

Short & Sweet.
I seem to have good intentions to get over here and write a blog post but wow, it's been over a month already! Where does the time go? In that timespan I've managed to write, edit and test a new shawl pattern that's quick and easy and would also be a fantastic stash buster. Knit on US10 needles ...

Thanks Ann - it was a fun time :)
TNNA.
Wow, what to say? TNNA was fantastic! Being there for my first time was a bit nerve-wracking but once you get to talking knitting and yarn with everyone, those nerves do seem to just melt away. It's really nice to share a hobby with others and know they are just as passionate about it as you are...
Thanks Sallee! BW is very cool that's for sure!

Diadem.
Another shawl off the needles and completed! This design is by Ruth Greenwald and if you haven't joined our Light & Dark Lace Club, you're welcome to venture over to Ravelry and join our group. Ruth and I alternate between the bi-monthly shipments - she does lighter colourways and I do darker co...

Bacchus & FLS.
Wow, my knitting needles have been busy lately! I managed to knit, edit and test a new design and also finished a sweater for me. It's only been forever since I knit a sweater too - gosh, probably 7 years now or so. A part of me decided to stop knitting them because I wasn't a size 2 but WTH, ri...

Monarca Shawl.
I'm so pleased to have this pattern completed. Test knit by a few knitters, it was fun to see the different versions of the pattern knit in different yarns and colourways. I think this was the most exciting part for me actually - seeing how my test knitters interpreted the pattern by their yarn ...

Drive by.
I haven't been posting on my blog near enough these days but with Facebook and Twitter, it seems like I'm always over there so if you want to stay current, please come join me on either! What have I been up to lately? Dyeing and designing! I just finished dyeing up an exclusive blend called Sanc...

Hi Jillian...you can find these projects on Ravelry linked under all the photos of each one if you are interested in knitting or crocheting them. Hope that helps :)
Generosity.
It never ceases to amaze me just how generous people can be both with their time and their gift-giving. Let me explain a little. When I decided I needed a few samples knit up for my fibre shows my Dad said to me "ask your aunt, I bet she'd love to help you!" and my reaction was, oh gosh, I don't...
Name that Yarn!
We're getting ready to release a brand new yarn and guess what? It needs a name! This yarn is going to be released exclusively through Pick Up Sticks and to make it even more interesting, Connie will also have exclusive... Continue reading

Thanks so much Heather! Enjoy your knitting and watch for the release of the colourwork shawl - that will happen in the next couple of weeks probably :)
Mezquita.
Fresh off the needles and my second design to be released! I never dreamed I'd get into writing up my own designs but I'm actually having a lot of fun knitting up what I want and writing up a pattern for it as it works really well with my creative side. That side of my Aquarius personality that ...
