I really fancy many things in the Emily & Meritt Collection -- but I really like the Metallic Dot Euro Sham -- love the colors and design. I also really do find the bunny clock super whimsical.

Joy, you will all love France. You definitely want to not miss Chateau Versailles -- I went for a whole day on my last trip to Paris in November and even in the winter it was simply beautiful. There is a ton of ground for Ruby to run around and there is even this little tram/train that can take you around...once you get tired of walking. They have nice cafes to eat at -- and the food was amazing. You can also enjoy the cats that reside in the palace's grounds...that was such a quirky surprise...they're all pretty friendly...but just wash your hands after :).
I am so very sorry for your loss. Bruce was a gorgeous furbaby. I don't know what I would do. I have two kitties myself and just to think about it makes me cry. I am so very sorry...much love and strength to you all. Bruce was a lucky guy to have you in his life.

I agree wholeheartedly. There is a point in the life of a woman when you need to stop buying inexpensive things that will need replacing in no time and start investing in good quality items. I especially think that is the case with home items...such as pots and dishes and furniture pieces. I mean you can’t really continue to use the same college hand-me-down pieces…unless they are sentimental pieces and/or vintage pieces. I think that i started doing this in my mid-twenties...but only because I got married pretty young. And yes, I love my Le Creuset pots and I’m still eyeing a Mauviel risotto’s just so pricey. Cosmetics were the one thing that as soon as I finish College and got my first job I started to splurge on. I think this mainly had to do with my aunt who always insisted that you needed a good eye and day cream. My biggest pep peeve is cheap boots. I really think they can kill and best save and splurge on a good pair than have a few cheap pairs...that not only are but also look cheap. Joy, i really enjoyed this post. Thx.
