So sad to hear that Penny has passed. I knew she was having some health issues but I had no idea just how serious they were. She was always "there" for everyone else, offering comfort, advise and always a kind word. My sympathies to the family, I know your hearts are broken. I hope you can find comfort in knowing she was loved by so many.

It literally takes your breath away when confronted by these "people". And yes, I am constantly subjected to this verbal diarrhea by co-workers. Birthers, truthers, dooms day preppers, all of these. Some days I have to just go in the bathroom and cry. No, I don't argue with them. They are not going to change and they will certainly never change my mind, but I do NEED my job.

Oh, come on Linda, you know it's all about the SEX! ( insert sarcastic smirk )

Judge only Tracy, no jury.

This happened just a few miles from where I live and I have followed it closely, just for this reason. I remember telling Dave when it happened that I'll bet the little bastard gets off with a slap on the wrist. Boy was I wrong! Not only did he not get slapped - he got a beach vacation in California. I told Lori the other day that if one of those victims had been someone I loved, I would end up in jail for stalking this little piece of shit and doing anything in my power to make his life a living hell! Where does this madness end? Karma baby, Karma. And when she catches up with you I hope get what you deserve.

Ted Cruz makes my skin crawl....please, please, please just go the hell away. Yes, I seriously laughed out loud at his reading Green Eggs and Ham. How can anyone not see the irony in that? What a buffoon.

This is another one of those that had me conflicted. I didn't have a problem with them covering this story, welcomed another prospective even, but couldn't quite figure out what it was about it that was bothering me. Thanks, you are exactly right - it's the photo itself. And yes, we've all seen it time and again. But on such a coveted, celebrated magazine? Yes, they could have chosen something more suitable.

Those of us who have been following your blog know that this is your reality, living apart for the sake of the girls but this made it so REAL. I smiled at the family photos and enjoyed the whirlwind trip to Vegas but felt so sad by the line " Carson and I got home yesterday..." But then, OMG ! such awesome news! One more school year and you and Rudy will be reunited for good in such a beautiful setting! Doesn't make up for all you've given up but it's a pretty good start! Will be counting down the days with you!

I've commented on several posts on FB about this. I was truly shocked by the hate filled comments. This child is a better AMERICAN than all of those dickheads put together. Like Lori, I watched and LOVED him on AGT last season and glad to see he is still pursuing his passion.

Once again, I'm impressed by your ability to root out the "weird". Some people.....

What? He couldn't think of any demeaning terms for children? rug rats, curtain climbers, ankle biters ? Come on Peter, lets be an equal opportunity PIG!

Somebody once said - " I wish I was half as wonderful as my dog thinks I am" ( or something like that ). My grown son are always saying they wished we had treated them as well as we treat our dogs. The dogs don't borrow $$, wreck the car and certainly aren't as messy, never question our judgement or argue when we tell them to go to bed - enough said! ( just kidding - the boys don't do those things either, but the point remains. )

Reviews I read were tepid, at best, which usually puts it on my "must see" list. Don't go to the movies often but will catch it when it comes to my local RedBox.

Working on our 42nd year and the Four Seasons quote is spot on. Fortunately there have been mostly good times and the ones that weren't so good were short lived and quickly resolved. Do I sometimes wish I had waited and did a little "living" before settling into marriage ( and motherhood )? Sure, but overall it's worked out pretty well. Congrats on the 22 years and I promise, the best is yet to come. Your "someday" will be worth all the sacrifices you made.

Thanks guys! So far, so good!

I read this earlier and was just too overwhelmed to comment. Please keep us updated on your progress and what we can do to help. I'm assuming cash / gift cards would be the most helpful. Otherwise you are going to have a shipping nightmare on your hands! I cannot imagine living in a motel room with two teenaged kids, especially with all the medical issues. Thank God the dad has managed to hang onto his job, I don't see how with all the obstacles they are facing daily.

I believe the program started out as land lines back in 1984, upgraded by Clinton in 1996 and cell phones added in 2008 under Bush. Paid for, by the way, from all us cell phone users thru a "fee" added to our bills every month. Not directly from our federal taxes. Or am I thinking of a different program?

Yea Linda, I know that. Just gave them another eye straining eyeroll..no use trying to argue with these idiots. Facts have no bearing on their simple minds.

I said I wasn't going to post or comment anymore on this subject because it has been so divisive, especially since I'm the only non-republican here at work, but just had to pass on the parting remark/shot I got when leaving Tuesday evening- " Well, do you think Obama sent out a "get out and vote" text to all those people who he gave free phones to"? And this from guys who make a whole lot more than I do but are too cheap to pay for insurance for their kids - don't marry baby momma and she can put them on the state indigent care program. But it's Democrats who want something for nothing????? Give me a frickin' break!

Every post, every picture brings another tear and another ache in my heart. These people are going thru the unimaginable and to have asshats like these shooting off their mouths is just disgraceful. I have seen so many examples of people pulling together and helping one another - it just puts idiots like this to shame. Thankfully, they are too busy trying to regain some tiny semblance of normalcy to pay any attention to this crap.

Am I missing something? Why in the world did he need a dozen enemas? This guy has bigger problems than just sticky fingers..... but still, for the poor unsuspecting re-buyers..YUCK !!!

“We’re a nation that believes that we’re all children of the same God.” Ouch!! Eye-roll strain. Dave and I just looked at each other and shook out heads. I was surprised that it wasn't mentioned in any of the "reviews".

I too am part of that 47%. Never used a food stamp, never got a welfare check, no medicade. I am however looking forward to being able to retire in a few years and going on the government dole by collecting my SS check. Sorry Mitt, but your mouth just overloaded your ass and you just lost what little chance you ever had of perching on that throne you've been chasing your whole life! Bawhahahahahaha. Linda, amazing post ( as usual ) wish I could force feed it to so many family and co workers.

I agree with Tracy - how disgusting! Just when you think they can't sink any lower, along comes another with unbelievable stupidly, spewing garbage with nothing to back it up. Can't even say I'm shocked anymore, just incredibly sad.

OH NO!!!!! Poor Carson, with everything she has going on this might as well be 4-6 months, it will sure seem like it! I don't envy you the job of trying to keep her tied down long enough to heal.
