Your readers might be interested in what instrument Debra Warren is playing. It's called "harmonium." This freestanding keyboard instrument, which originated in Europe, is similar to a reed organ (it may remind you of an accordion). Sound is created when air—produced by bellows operated by foot, hand, or knees–is blown through sets of free reeds.
Thanks for the heads up Janis! I usually miss this event.

By the way, Vance is selling the painted blocks under the name "Artablockia." Here is their Facebook page with pictures:

I love the way the colors of the ornamental cabbages reflect in the window display. I looked back to your very first ornamental cabbage shot and was wondering if you have found out the name of the cabbage variety that is that beautiful purple color?
Beautiful children, beautiful voices, they've all worked so hard on the music! Hope to see many familiar faces at the Greensboro Youth Chorus holiday concert tonight!

I would entitle this pic "Rainbow in the evening sky." Thanks for being there at the right time to capture the moment!

I like the decor of the Carolina Theatre but is has nothing on the theater I used to attend in Wiesbaden/Germany. Take a look at the foyer of the "Hessisches Staatstheater:"
I get the impression that they only allow "virtual" tours. Do you think it would be possible to get a group tour?
I looked at the link with the 300 year old tree. What an inspiration!!! Our neighborhood in Summerfield was developed in the 1980s. During that time the builders were careful to leave as many trees as possible on our heavily wooded lots. I love our property! We see a lot of different birds, blue-tailed skinks, deer, and even wild turkeys.
I love "Where's Waldo?" Is that Jane next to the second tree to the right?
