Hey everybody, It's been a long time since I've done this blog. I missed the simplicity of writing here. Due to financial reasons and huge chunks of occupied time, I haven't jumped on this blog as much. But I guess it is part of growing up. Trying new ventures and being constantly curious. In terms of things going on in my life, here are the basic things going on in my life. I transferred to a new college. I'm also graduating a year later due to this. But I'm happier for it and the experiences I had in my first... Continue reading

This semester's going okay so far! Energy-wise I've been a bit low but so far the year's been pretty mellow. I love summer but it wasn't loving me back for a few weeks. I had massive mosquito bites on my arm then I had an intense heat rash on my neck. Both have cleared out thankfully. I also had wisdom tooth surgery (and I hope I don't have to go through that again anytime soon - it's miserable) and it felt like an eternity just to recover from everything. When you've been in good health for most of your life,... Continue reading

Sorry for all of the worrying folks. I am feeling a little better now. I really needed to vent and since my journal wasn't nearby, MbT was the next closest thing. It's very awkward being vulnerable and sometimes I'm tempted to delete last night's post and keep the image of the cheerful, peppy blogger who happens to be obsessed with film, video games, writing and Asian culture. But part of growing up is taking the bad with the good so I'm leaving it up. Yes. I may be flawed in my opinions, even going so far as misphrasing them. I... Continue reading

Have you ever felt like you were in a constant state of stagnation in terms of things you've always wanted to do? Believe me, I'm certainly feeling it now. It's summer vacation of my 21st year of life. My birthday's in less than two weeks. Though I've been keeping busy with writing (in my journal > my books) and reading the bucket list novels, I always have the feeling that I should be doing something more in my life. I know I'm only 21 and as I said with the being-21 and the 21 things I'm grateful for posts, I'm... Continue reading

Even I'm impressed with how far I've come. It's been 5 months since I posted my NYRs on MbT. I'm rather surprised that I've made so much progress in such a short time. I used to get discouraged about setting goals until last semester. I've even announced my NaNoWriMo goals online - even to the point where I even posted my word count on the 2nd attempt (and failed). But now it's a totally different story. Part of this was sheer luck but most of it has been hard work. I'm super happy that I've been making significant progress and... Continue reading

Sorry my friends. I'm back. I know I haven't posted on this site for a while. I've been alternating between my radio show and my 2nd blog. Rest assured, there's a lot of content on here that I still need to upload. Stay tuned! Also if you haven't visited my second site, check it out, comment and listen to my radio show recaps. :) Take care! <3 TM Related articles Happy 55th MJ (and 2nd to MbT)! Continue reading

Have you ever gone through the middle of a conversation or trying to write something and you forget what you were originally writing about in the first place? I've been coming across that problem a lot this month, thus why no new content has been popping onto my blogs lately. It seems like between classes, the MK radio show and composing fiction, my blogging tank has been running a bit low. However, I still have an abundance of content to share with you - don't worry! Speaking of forgetting content, there are times where I do forget exactly what I... Continue reading

Happy Birthday! Well, half of one at least. ^_^; Yes, I still celebrate half-birthdays. What do you expect when your real birthday's in the summer and it happens to be the busiest time of year when people get back to their jobs, internships are ending and there's back to school prep to be done? But seriously, if anyone's birthday is today, regardless of the type - Happy Birthday. Sorry for keeping you in the dark for so long. I have a big announcement to make. I've been planning this for quite a while now and I didn't know what topic... Continue reading

Is it just me or do people rely on a lot of caffeine during the winter months? I'm having some trouble staying up but thankfully no sleeping in class has happened. However it nearly happened at rehearsal. That's right! This semester I'm in a production! :) I didn't feel like saying anything about the auditions until I was absolutely sure. I also have a job. It's been easy and intuitive and I've been learning some new tricks on the computer as well. It's nice to get away from the books sometimes. Theater is a unique kind of work but it's... Believe me, I love getting my rest. But considering the current situation, it's been getting a little difficult. I didn't get into the internship I applied for, my character for the show is not clicking at all, and I feel wiped even though I recently reintroduced coffee into my system. I gave up coffee for Lent so that I can sleep better. But even then I'm fatigued. But there are two things that I'm glad that I know about - #1: I've got some awesome ideas for a summer business plan and #2: I'm pretty good at public speaking. Related... Continue reading

Updates, updates, updates... I've been adding the posts I've been neglecting to put on the site for so long. I apologize for that long delay in updates. 2014 hasn't exactly been smooth sailing to start off. It started off rather tragically as one of our closest family friends passed away just after we rang the new year and we went to his funeral a few days later. Thankfully the funeral was rather uplifting and it was better than the funerals I had to perform and attend in the last 5 years. Following that, one of my cousins once removed was... Continue reading

August 24th is a day I definitely will never forget. With the end of August coming up as well as the year transition from a small college to a big university, I felt like doing something fun with a few friends since it would be a while 'til I see them again. A few days after my birthday, one of my best college buds texted me via Skype telling me that Jinkx Monsoon, Season 5 winner of RuPaul's Drag Race (a show we've been following all school year), was coming back to Philly with performing partner Major Scales to perform... Cute name huh? This is kind of a specialty post. It's not only reflecting on some of the experiences I had in uni life so far but also experiences you may have to deal with, especially if you've been in small schools for almost your entire life (the minis), which was the case for me. The largest class I've had in my life was my high school class of 54 students and most of the time, we weren't even in the same room. Since I started my study-away, I've had small classes, but I'm having one that even exceeded the... Continue reading

Happy New Year! Bonne année! Buon natale! Oshogatsu obedeto! Kagami Biraki obedeto! Happy Christmas! Season's Greetings! Happy Birthday World! Regardless of how you greet 2014, cheers to making it a good one. :) ^_^ Much love, TM Pharrell Williams - Happy - Not only is this the world's first 24 hour music video, but this is the greatest feel-good song. Even though you hear a few seconds of it in Despicable Me 2, it's a beautiful few seconds. Now listen to the whole thing - you know you want to get up and dance. :) Related articles Message for Christmas... Continue reading

Well, another year, another refresher! Thank you for reading my blog and continuing the support. I may not have been as routine in my postings, but rest assured - content is still coming. 2013 was a unique year. Besides the academic transition and the craziness of it, there were new experiences and updates that I'm utterly enjoying right now. Transitioning to a new year can be exciting and it can feel weird at the same time. I'm still adjusting to my adult identity and I guess part of me is anxious about what the next year will bring. However I've... Continue reading

A message that applies to any time of year and I hope will carry on with your resolutions. The holidays are a rather special time for many people and it's one that tends to be associated with a lot of cheer brought on by family and friends. Sometimes we do get overwhelmed by the trials we face everyday and seem ready to give up. However, there's one interesting lesson that I learned that I'm rather surprised that I didn't notice until now and can be applied whether it's setting a new year's resolution, making some type of committment, or just... With only 1 day of class to go (and 3 days until I officially finish the fall semester), I've decided to have a couple of interesting experiences. Both of them will be rather soothing and well-earned. While I once again didn't reach the 50,000 word count, I feel like this year's NaNo in a way was a success because I finally kickstarted a story that I'm actually interested and invested in. I've set my deadline to summer vacation to be done with writing and editing. Right now I'm walking away from my text to focus on school and recharge my... Continue reading

Word count is really not my priority right now. Looking at the graph and seeing how little I've increased or passed-up opportunites to pass the line have really got my spirits down lately besides trying to balance out the stress of the last two weeks of fall semester. However, with this week's NaNo message allowing me to drop that stress, it was a well-needed break for my mind and I could get some semblance of flow again even if it's just 100 words every 2 minutes or so. I've been well-supported by my family, professors and friends and I'm super... Continue reading

Sorry lads and lasses for not having my usual peppy post for today. I've just been through a lot in the last couple of weeks and I haven't really been able to settle down and deal with everything. This is also another reason why my word count hasn't been too hot either. So I'm taking a much needed break from any electronic communiqués for 24 hours (give or take) and spending some much needed time for TLC. I'm also planning out a movie review so rest assured - more content will be coming! Thanks so much for your patience and... Continue reading

Is it just me or does today have some sort of lull in the air? Class time was rather quiet, I saw some weird stuff in the street, and I cut my finger. Thankfully it hasn't inhibited my typing in any way. My word count's still sluggish but it's the first week. I needed some quality time with school. And boy did I need it - fall semester's ending in 3 weeks. Actually it's more like 2 weeks worth of classes spread around 3 weeks. Thanksgiving Break is going to take the majority of the class time so finals week... Continue reading
