‘Ein Volk, Ein Reich, Ein Fuhrer’
A perversion of what 'One Nation' means and I would hope that Ed Miliband with his family background would shy away in horror from such a meaning.
'One Nation' to me means what Disraeli intended it to mean - that Rich and Poor are not separate 'Nations' and care must be extended to the least advantaged in our Society.
Actually let's not just have 'One Nation' Let's have 'One World'...
One nation
By Anthony O'Hear, Professor of Philosophy at Buckingham University, and editor of Philosophy journal. Following Ed Miliband’s evocation of ‘one nation’ at his party conference, various Conservative big-wigs immediately began lamenting this theft of their clothes. But few seemed to have reflect...
This was quite, quite superb! The best thing about it was that at the end everyone (myself included) looked round to see if he was going to come down from the back of the hall on to the stage on a zip wire.
"Mission ImBorisable"
This was the video that Boris Johnson came on stage to at Monday night's ConHome rally.

Boris Johnson has recorded a message in favour of gay marriage: "Hi folks, I'm Boris Johnson, I'm mayor of london. One of the amazing things about London is that it's not only got a declining crime rate, declining murder rate, more theatres than New York, less rainfall than Rome but it's also on...

Mo Farah does the "Mobot" on the steps of No.10
Boris has a continuing important job to do - as our Mayor in London. He is doing it brilliantly. Let's not waste time speculating on what he might or might not do after that.
Never underestimate Boris: Sky News examines whether the Mayor of London can become PM
I am not sure that anything Boris does could top the zip wire!
I howled with laughter. It was truly inspired.

Hello "Deidra",
I am the "someone on here by the name of Sally".
I can't knit to save my life but I can tie people in knots.
I do not have a blue rinse, but really rather resent your tone towards my friend Elaine.
Elaine is a very loyal hard-working Conservative and certainly not nasty. She doesn't have a blue rinse either.
Love and Kisses, Sally

"but we all do not have the benefit of a millionaire daddy to pay for it."
Why do some people feel they have to mock those who - with the greatest of affection - call or called their parents "Mummy and Daddy"?
Boris Johnson: "I would like to see the kind of regime I used to enjoy: compulsory two hours of sport every day"
"and how long have you been cutting your own hair"?

The humour of Chris Heaton-Harris MP
By Tim Montgomerie Follow Tim on Twitter Chris Heaton-Harris MP was this week's political pin up. A qualified football referee (wearing, I think, an Italian shirt in the picture on the right) he helped find a compromise solution to the stand-off between the FA and FIFA about whether the England...
Commiserations to Oriel Hutchinson who fought a good fight in St Mary's Ward, Islington. Realistically it was never going to be a "runner" and I hope she gets something winnable next time.

The PM is cutting short his holiday and will be back in Downing Street for a meeting of Cobra tomorrow.
Bayswater was one of the areas badly affected. A restaurant in Notting Hill was invaded by a crowd who started ripping watches and jewellery off the diners and stealing their wallets and bags. The chef apparently defended the restaurant, threatening them with his knife and eventually they ran off.
