Corner View: Where has the time gone?
Corner View is a weekly appointment - each Wednesday - created by Jane, hosted by Francesca, where bloggers from all corners of the world share their view on a pre-arranged theme. This theme is all about photographic evidence because how does this: turn into this, in a heartbeat? And ho...
Gorgeous pictures, Elizabeth! The photo "9th Avenue vanishes..." is breathtaking! As I said many times, I would LOVE to know NY!
Uptown and White
The very tip of Africa shimmers in the sun above the subway entrance at Columbus Circle. The skyscrapers cast bold shadows over the park. 9th Avenue vanishes off towards Staten Island. The lights like confetti. A little apple tree with white blossoms... ...and magnolia stars.
Henry James looks adorable! Just LOVELY!
Couldn't resist......!
A young gentleman of my acquaintance aged two weeks.....
Wonderful pictures!
Happy New Year to you dear Elizabeth and to all family!
Cheers.
Postcards
Blackheath: photo by Claudia Schmid A wintry image from England sent from my daughter's phone. Approaching New York: same bleak sky and spire piercing the bitter air. The late-afternoon moon hangs beside the Empire State Building. I can't get over the clarity of light when it's very frig...
Happy Birthday!
IT'S MA BIRFDAY
Not the most flattering of photos but I love it. It reminds me of the wonderful holiday we had up at Arnisdale in August. You can see by the attire, the weather in the Highlands was living up to it's reputation.
What a gorgeous living!
CHRISTMAS, QUILTS & LAUNDROMATS
What is it about Christmas? I have shifted the dining area to the living area and vice versa. We now need to send for an electrician to come and remove power points which stick up on the floor. These were initially put in for lamps beside the couches, but I didn't quite expect them to be a...
Wow!
WHERE THE HELL IS AMANDA?
Sitting on the verandah, reading a book at Summerfield.
Love this photo! So beautiful grasses!
A PRETTY PERFECT PATH TO THE POTAGER
David hasn't had a chance to cut the grass down by the potager and I commented on how lovely the long grasses looked. Went off for the day and when I came back he had cut a swathe through the grasses. It's made the area look very "meadow-like".
Yes, I see the lovely Buster in the reflection!
What a gorgeous photos, love all them, but the golden window is my preferred. Love also that I can enlarge the photos and see each details of them!
Thanks for your visiting on my place.
Flying
It started with the golden doors on 9th Avenue. (Buster just visible if you look really carefully.) And continued with the golden windows of 20th Street. The telephone company (18th Street and 7th Avenue) ..wanted us to look upwards not to mention the graffiti on the door just ne...

This is the scene in my family room right now... All three of them nearly comatose after having spent the morning/early afternoon at the groomer/doggie daycare. And oh my do they smell good!
Hi Lynne,

Scout is beautiful and a lucky boy!
You have a great and lovely heart and a beaufitul family!
new kid on the block
Scout It wasn't planned. Some of the best things in life never are, I think. But when my friend Karen sent me his picture from the pound in Quincy, IL, with a note that he was to be euthanized that evening if someone didn't take him, something in my heart broke wide open... and I made t...
