So the garden at the back of our house was overgrown and had some trees growing out of control. So we trimmed those back and cut the lawn. It's nothing special but to us, after living in a flat with no garden, it is a luxury. We have already borrowed... Continue reading

Hello there. My name is Sam and I decided today was the perfect day to start this blog. Why? I will move on to that after I explain the journey so far. I wanted to record the memories of the transformation of my Nan's house into our home as we... Continue reading

Let's go back about 6 months and talk scrapbook mini albums. For my 500 subscriber giveaway, I offerd to make anything someone wanted and the lovely winner received nothing. For once the Royal Mail were not to blame, it was me. It would have been easier to blame the postman... Continue reading

At Christmas I wanted to make some unique presents and decided I was going to make some of the things I pinned on Pinterest and the best thing that came to mind was the record clock. A perfect way to show someone you care by using their favourite song or... Continue reading

After moving into Nan's house, we finally decorated the craft room a pretty mint and peachy pink colour, the same as my wedding and blog colours, which could indicate the love of these colours has become an obsession. Regardless of the crazy obsession, I am really pleased with how the... Continue reading

"no amount of being skinny can feel as good as your man telling you that you look beautiful with a sparkle in his eye" Samantha Polley For me, this is probably going to be the hardest post in my DIY wedding series, purely because in my heart, I did not... Continue reading

I would love to see a picture of this in a year. Although you live in a very different climate to me. I can't imagine this working well for me in rainy England! It would sink.

As someone who just painted all her downstairs white, I love this look. I can't praise the fresh white and accent colour enough. Plus I love the tiles, my Mum says they are 1960s underground (London) style but I think they look stunning and nowadays are considered modern vintage. This is how I imagine my kitchen when I finally get to re-do it. However, I am a mint/turquoise junkie so that would be my accent colour! Sam
So 2014 is a year with many 'new' ideas implemented in it, which always makes me feel better as starting a fresh always boosts my confidence and makes me feel more in control. This year, I decided it was time to have a proper home for the blog to accompany... Continue reading

I am probably the worst person in the world to give out this wedding preparation advice, purely because at my wedding it was total chaos. Mostly, because there were 6 bridesmaids, 3 flower girls and some other people all in one hotel room. However, today I am not going to... Continue reading

This makes me wish I could transfer it on the wall! Much easier than sticking glitter on it. Sam
Planning a wedding is not easy and when you start to gather quotes, you soon realise a major chunk of your precious budget can be taken up with flowers. Cheap wedding flowers normally mean smaller bouquets and less roses. Some might say they are not important, however, if you are... Continue reading

I love how when you take pictures of little things, people look at you like you are bonkers. Then you produce a scrapbook and people ooh and ah. Great job. I'm waiting for photos to arrive I ordered online to use in my next project! Sam (a fello crafting addict from England)

I just fell in love and need to pin that chevron blanket on the back of the sofa, it's stunning. I need me one of those! Sam

Yes, I said colours, plural. For me, the worst thing about weddings tends to be the fact it is colour coordinated to one colour, which just becomes overkill. Have you been to a wedding that was say blue? The chairs had blue organza ribbon, the cake was blue, the dresses... Continue reading

Your goals sound great to me. I am in much the same boat with decorating goals and also a plan to launch my own shop. I think it is healthier to set goals than resolutions. I also think the 101 in 1001 days is a bit difficult to achieve too, after doing that myself and not getting as far as I liked, mostly because I thought of it as a bucket list, when hello, there are more than 1001 days left in my life. I think weekly, monthly and yearly goals are sensible. I also think an ultimate bucket list (that constantly updates for new things) is another great must do. I'm pretty much running off to fetch my notepad to jot down some ideas I have now to blog about later. Thanks Elise.

So we made our way from Kent to Dartmoor early Sunday morning and when we arrived, it was beautiful and sunny weather. This lasted pretty much that one day and ever since we have been adding to our camp with rain resistant extras like a gazebo and boy are we... Continue reading
