I would love to see a picture of this in a year. Although you live in a very different climate to me. I can't imagine this working well for me in rainy England! It would sink.
backyard progress.
I am so excited to share some progress on the backyard jungle. We've had a plan for awhile now, but while my parents were in town the past few days we were finally able to make some progress. And what satisfying progress it was. My dad spent Tuesday and Wednesday turning up and leveling th...
As someone who just painted all her downstairs white, I love this look. I can't praise the fresh white and accent colour enough. Plus I love the tiles, my Mum says they are 1960s underground (London) style but I think they look stunning and nowadays are considered modern vintage. This is how I imagine my kitchen when I finally get to re-do it. However, I am a mint/turquoise junkie so that would be my accent colour!

ABM Studio: The Kitchen (Progress!)
PROGRESS!!!! Words cannot describe how happy we all are to be past the "before" phase and officially ready to share some "progress" updates. It's been about two and a half months since we closed on this house, and it's been a ton of fun to get from point A to point B with our awesome team of c...

This makes me wish I could transfer it on the wall! Much easier than sticking glitter on it.

Fun with Heat Transfer Glitter Vinyl
I don't know about you, but I LOVE finding out about new craft supplies I hadn't heard of before. Just one new product can open up a whole new world of possibilities and projects. So when I saw this post about iron-on heat transfer sheets, my DIY heart lept for joy. A few weeks ago I saw that o...

I love how when you take pictures of little things, people look at you like you are bonkers. Then you produce a scrapbook and people ooh and ah. Great job. I'm waiting for photos to arrive I ordered online to use in my next project!

December Daily Week 4 (Done!!)
I'm pretty excited to wrap up this project this week. It feels good to call it done! I enjoyed making this album, and the momentum of completing it this month is definitely motivating me to plan more albums. Also, I haven't showed Jeremy yet, and now that it's finished, I'm looking forward to s...

At Home With Toshiko Shek
We are happy to welcome Toshiko Shek to the blog today to share a bit of her Santa Cruz home with us! "I currently live in a small, rented apartment in Santa Cruz, California. Santa Cruz is a small beach town about an hour and a half south of San Francisco. Think of it as the Malibu of LA but...

Your goals sound great to me. I am in much the same boat with decorating goals and also a plan to launch my own shop. I think it is healthier to set goals than resolutions. I also think the 101 in 1001 days is a bit difficult to achieve too, after doing that myself and not getting as far as I liked, mostly because I thought of it as a bucket list, when hello, there are more than 1001 days left in my life.
I think weekly, monthly and yearly goals are sensible. I also think an ultimate bucket list (that constantly updates for new things) is another great must do.
I'm pretty much running off to fetch my notepad to jot down some ideas I have now to blog about later. Thanks Elise.
goals for this year.
I'm not that big on resolutions but unless you're just visiting for the first time, you know I've very big on goals. I set monthly goals, birthday goals, business goals & yearly goals. I set big goals, small goals, overly ambitious goals and simple goals. I even wrote an ecourse on goal-settin...

a tour of baby girl's room.
Welcome to the nursery. How fun to put this room together. I never thought I'd embrace the pink, but obviously, I went there. It was too fun NOT to. I mentioned this in the pom-pom post, but the "theme" of her room is "hooray! We love you." (The theme of all the other rooms in our house i...
