Make Your Own 'Wraps Per Inch' Tool
This is the one where scrapbooking meets knitting! I have been wanting a WPI (Wraps Per Inch) tool to check the thickness of my wool for some time and I didn't get around to buying one so I made one from chipboard and patterned paper. WPI Tool For those of you who don't know, although I t...

Hi Tracy, I basically just drew around the finished purse onto fabric and added a seam allowance. I then sewed the 2 pieces I cut together and slotted it into the purse before attaching the clasp :)
Crochet Coin Purse
I love the little crochet coin purses that you see on Etsy, most of them seem to be crocheted with a double knitting yarn which gives only a few rows of crochet and can look quite thick so I wanted to try and make one using a 4 ply cotton. So, of course, I did. I used the lovely Safron cotton f...
Thanks Craftimax, I don't really 'decide' as such, I grab a box of things and just randomly pick things depending on what I feel like at the time. It always turns out well, I think the main this is not to over think what you are doing :) I have done some mixed media on paper in a journal but I prefer the canvas. The music is called Happy Happy Joy Joy and I bought it from a stock music place a while ago to use on my videos :)
Canvas | Home
I felt like getting messy today in the ink and mod podge kind of way and as I haven't posted a video for a while here is one showing how this little canvas came to be. It is just 5" x 7". I have totally ruined my nails doing this today! Yesterday they looked like this: Now they look like...
Have fun knitting it. I have the yarn for Charlotte and Amy's now so I am going to try and alter the pattern to fit (forgot to order DK instead and have Aran again!)
Knitting | Baa-ble Hat
Brrr! It is really cold in South West England today but I am relieved that we are not enduring the snow that is affecting some of the country. Whilst I love snow for the photographic opportunities, I do not like the logistical problems it causes. The kids would be happy to have snow though. L...
Hi, this is Stylecraft Special DK which you can order from www.woolwarehouse.co.uk or www.Deramores.com. I made this is 2011 but I think the colours were White, Lemon, Fondant, Wisteria, Sherbet and Spring Green :) I hope that helps.
Baby Blanket. Done!
I finished the baby blanket last week, I just haven't had change to blog it yet. I love these colours as much as the bright version, it's so pastel and babyish. Afton isn't having it yet! I am going to give it to her when her baby girl is born (or just before) because I like looking at it :)...

Craft Room - The Details
I have had a lot of people asking me lately about the exact furniture used in my craft room. All the items are from Ikea. Here is a list of the actual pieces I have used, including links to them on the Ikea UK website: 5x5 white expedit unit Vika Amon worktops I can't remember the ex...
Hi Anne, the notches are just under 1/4 inch but as long as the depth is enough to keep the wool in place it will be fine :)
