Moldovian kilim a part of frencs style Abouson carpets.Azerian and Turkoman village people use to make them. Moldovian goverment use to support the villager people to make this kilim's. All this kilim made by black back ground and rose design. Sometimes we can find animal and landscape design's on this decorative kilim's. Most of them older then 50-60 years. Suzani from Ozbekistan. Used as curtain,sofa or bed throws, wall hangings. Made with silk metarial on a linen base or somethimes silk yarn with silk base. Flowers design as tulip and carnation is part of the suzanis most of the times. Continue reading

Another Baktiyari with some more aqua blue around the corners make it more powerfull looking. Beautfuly located madallion in the center and well balanced terracota color around. Size of this great carpet around 5.20 m by 3.24 m, aound 100 years old. Continue reading

This is a one of a kind Baktiyari carpet came from Iranian tribal area where they mixed by the Tukomans. It's very hard to make a carpet in this sizes coz there may not be anought wool or color to able to finish the carpet perfect condition like this. Its nearly 6.10 m long by 4.08. Most problable around 100 years or plus. Colors are all natural and hand spun wool from mountain area. Continue reading

This is a very fine Kayseria wool&cotton carpets used to make in the villages around 50-60 years a go. Specialy of this rug's they have very inique colors. This colors not avaliable in any others carpets in Turkey. We also named them Manchester rugs. They used to import the wool from England and wool taken from the neck part of the wool , wich is very best part of the lam. This give the carpet very delicate look and makes it last for many years. Here is very typical example Anatolian wool on wool praying carpets. Made in central Anatolia. Made by very soft handspun lam's wool. Girls are also use to make this for their dowry. Size of this examles no bigger then 3f x 5f. Can be also use as wall decorations. Continue reading

This is a example of Kayseria and Taspinar Pillow size of carpet's made in central Anatolia. Mostly made to use as cushion cover or to use next to bed. Old time they didn't have meterials as we did to day , they made hand knoted carpets in small version to fit on the daybeds or use on the floor to sit on it also as backing. This is a very interesting size of kilim made south west Anatolia. Borderles design combine with a expending madalion in the center, it give's the kilim deep long feeling. Beging of the kilim has a hairband design wich sembolising wedding ceramony. This is made for daybed cover or also can be use as runner. Most likely made for Divan use as know as daybed. This is a lovely example of the Antalya kilim. Toros mountain is the best place to have very fine quality wool. Antalya as a city very hot in the summer but Toros mountain is always good place to excape to have the fresh air. Nomad people living in Toros mountain areas very well know as (Yoruk) they also make nomadic carpet called (Dosemealti) wich is very rear now day to get like old ones quality. Here is a very interesting Kilim came from central asia. This is a wide and long peices , this is characteristics of the central asian art. They have been made for tent's or long day bed's uses. This is a very famous Turkish Hereke carpet. It's made from wool on cotton combination. They are very high density knots and will last a lifetime. These particular carpets pictured are rare examples of usage of natural vegetable dye colors. Their pattern is called Sivas Star. Blue symbolizes royalty, red of richness and elegance and green of heaven. The production of Hereke carpets is dwindling due to lack of skilled resource and high cost. Here with Husnu Uncle again. He is showing new collection of the Tesbih made out of Amber. They can have a very beautiful smell once they get warm in your hands. This is all organic material came out of the trees honey. They can be up to 10.000 years old. Some of them has even small insects inside them.
