No! I have 2 sons serving now they are MISERABLE! Both of them and all of their buddies, especially the ones who have 10 or more years under their belt are getting out ASAP. The PC policies are horrible and will probably get worse.

I live a few miles from where the Loganville mom shot the intruder. While that story received media attention, later that night another home invasion occurred outside of Atlanta. This woman chose to hide after two invaders entered her home, she was unarmed and found only to be shot several times for no reason. Now back to the Loganville story, that woman had a .38 with 6 bullets, she hit him with 5 and still he was able to get out of the house. Now after unloading on him, what if he had an accomplice elsewhere in the house? Multiply invaders is certainly not a stretch of the imagination. Its better to have it and not need it, than need it and not have it!

Best opinion out there! My son's classmate was attacked in front of everyone, by the neighborhood schizophrenic. He had quit taking his meds and the voices got the best of him. He snuck into the school with a claw hammer and randomly attacked a little girl as the class was walking back from the library. There was nothing the family could do with him. I agree these people are being tortured by their own minds. Where there some hospitals that were bad? Yes, but we don't just throw the baby out with the bathwater, we acknowledge, learn and improve! The most humane thing we as a society can do is make sure they have HELP by getting them off the streets!

I am repulsed by the idea of even needing armed guards at school. That being said, I don't think arming teachers is the best thing either. It takes lots of training to be able to keep your head in a high stress situation. I LOVE the idea of Vets however filling the role of protectors. Unfortunately is makes too much sense and the government would become involved because they have to CONTROL everything and then it would all go to s**t!

If this whole Benghazi mess was a CIA operation from the beginning, the State Dept. wouldn't have any business with security there. Maybe that is why they are coming up with the ridiculous reasons for there not being any. Did you watch the Congressional Hearing with Charlene Lamb? It was absolutely mind numbing listening to them. If you didn't get to see it, you can watch it on YouTube. Lots of testimony to go through but worth the time.

If we want our country back we will not be able to take it from the top down. This mentality of big government has been YEARS in the making and there will not be a quick fix. We start at the bottom, at the local level. Get good conservatives elected town by town, city by city, state by state. City councils, school boards, heck even the dog catcher! It will be a long fight, but truthfully, even if Romney won or Ron Paul, we would still have to deal with the likes of Harry Reid, Nancy Pelosi, etc. These are the people that MUST go, then we will be able to move back towards our Constitution.

The answer is the fact that Obama IGNORED the Constitution and PROMISED Amnesty! We cannot go on like this! It is flat out bribery! Democrats, the party of the underdog is the party of the victim and they win by promising the victim retribution. That is all they got and they will continue to do it for power, not for country.

I cannot wrap my head around the fact that liberals can ignore the lies! Are the lies ok because Obama's policies favor their ideology? I don't understand how anyone can put their faith in a liar!

I just read today where Holder said he did not know if he would stay on! And I am sure if anything does come of Fast and Furious, Obama is waiting in the wings with a pardon. And yes a 5-4 kills us! It was a 5-4 ruling in the Heller case, it SHOULD have been 9-0! There is nothing ambiguous about the 2nd Amendment! Hell, it's number 2, not exactly an afterthought!

A friend of my brothers is a NY liberal, we are friends on FB, I have known him since he was a kid. He was complaining about being without electricity for 6 days and posted to his friends to remember that when you went into the voting booth and somehow related it to Mitt Romney and global warming. I live in the south, I have been through CAT 3 hurricanes, tornadoes and floods myself. I couldn't help myself so I replied that while he was inconvenienced for those 6 days, he and his family were safe, had a roof over their heads and food to eat. His reply to me was, STFU! He didn't use the acronym either. My own Uncle has blacklisted himself from our family, he picks fights with EVERYONE! He has disrespected my brother who re-enlisted after 9/11 and then went back to Iraq as a contractor for the State Dept. He has made comments to my parents about my two sons joining the military. My Aunt is raising her granddaughter who is an Honor Roll student and is wanting to join the AF ROTC in college, he ripped into my Aunt over supporting her grandchild's desire to become part of the evil military industrial complex. He is just downright hateful and a hypocrite as well as he hates the "rich" but has a net worth over a million dollars, is retired with multiple homes and he does NOTHING but play golf. I used to visit friends in Atlanta, but I haven't been in 2 yrs. now. I was at a party and literally got into a heated debate on child rearing with a North Eastern Lawyer who owned 2 schnauzers but did't have kids! He just kept picking and picking and picking. I'd meet people and they would be wide eyed because I was a "country" person, I guess it surprised them that I had teeth. Needless to say, I don't have a lot of interaction with liberals as I enjoy my life out in the country.

I agree as far as the Republican getting caught up in social issues. They allow themselves to be baited instead of just staying on topic with the issues of GOVERNMENT! Myself, I am conservative, I probably lean more libertarian but the Libertarian party is a bit too extreme for me. I don't see this country being cohesive, I believe it will be worse. I know that my attitude has changed towards my fellow citizens, the liberals. I am at the point of loathing. The quickest and easiest fix for this country is going back to our roots and honoring states rights. If you want to live in a Nanny State, have at it, but keep it in your states borders and pay for it among yourselves. Let the northeast and left coast keep their ideology and we can keep ours without forcing either on each other.

Several years ago I was in the worst place mentally I had ever been. I had 3 kids and I could barely get out of the bed and I will admit a whiner! I got so sick of even hearing myself whine. The kids were at school and I was laying in my bed crying, which had become my normal routine, I notice a little orange pocket Bible that my son had gotten from playing a baseball tournament on my dresser. I picked it up and just began reading psalms. I was surprised how much better I felt, in the days that followed I kept reading and my entire attitude on life changed, immediately. I have never looked back. I don't go to church every Sunday but I do pray, I still read the psalms, I thank God for my blessings, which are many and pray for strength and guidance. I will attest that my life changed dramatically when I let God into it. I am sick about this election but I trust God and know He's not going to let me down. My faith is strengthened by this nightmare, Obama is just a man....God has my back.

Everyone says it was Romney but it really wasn't. We have to come to terms that it is the people in the urban areas up north who are deciding our fate. Look at the vote map, a sea of red with pockets of blue. That crazy Elizabeth Warren won, even though she is a liar. Claire McCaskill won in spite of her not paying taxes and her husband getting 20 mil in stimulus funds. Allen West will probably lose to a drunken Frat boy. Alan Grayson, the most vile human being from the Bush years is back! Tammy Baldwin who consistently voted AGAINST our sons and daughters during a time of war beat Tommy Thompson, a well liked former Gov. I can go on and on but the truth is a large portion of this country has no morals, no integrity and they are so selfish they can't see past the next day. If you look at the map you will see the blue areas are Godless. One thing that we can do is hold on to our beliefs, hand them down to our children. Pay attention to what they are being fed at school and around them! Not everybody can afford private school but that doesn't mean YOU can't instill your family values! This was years in the making. The democrats have trained their constituents like Pavlov's dogs.

Did y'all see the interview last month with Aaron Vaughn's parents? They have found out that there was an AC-130 above and a target painted on the Taliban that were firing on the Chopper that were carrying the SEALs and other SF in Afghanistan and it too was told not to fire, minutes later the chopper was shot out of the sky. As for Panetta speaking to civilians, come on. They don't send troops into harms way? What are they doing in Afghanistan then? They don't even have a mission there other than to walk the streets and get blown up. They're not allowed to go after the Taliban. It is hard enough knowing you child is in a war zone, it is gut wrenching having your child in a war zone under this administration. Everything they do defies common sense. And as bad as Panetta is, I just shake my head at Gen. Dempsey! Under this administration Patton would have been court martialed and sent to either a psych ward or prison for the rest of his life! It makes me sick to my stomach thinking about Benghazi! What all of them must have been going through even before 9/11, especially after having security being pulled and then to culminate on 9/11 is a horror. I may be wrong but I believe Woods really thought help was coming and the thought of him dying waiting is heartbreaking!

This man is shameless! He says he took an oath to protect the Constitution? Since when is it the job of the military to call a private citizen and ask him to stay quiet? Doesnn't he know the First Amendment? I have watched him testify before the Senate and the House and he is the Democrats Water Boy!

You don't get a contract anymore as 11b, it is now 11x. While my son was still in HS, he waited until the new recruiting year, in Oct. to get Airborne in his contract, when at MEPS, they offered him an Option 40 contract based on his official ASVAB and GT score.

Don't let some dumbass take away from the good you do for our troops. Those care packages are a Godsend to many. You would be surprised at the number of troops who don't receive anything! Your financial contributions to military charities, what ever they may be are greatly appreciated as well. If your relative is that OCD, he will not be able to hide it for long. You know deep down you tried to do what was right.
