David W Grant is a medical student and Satter Scholar at the Feinberg School of Medicine, Northwestern University. His present interests include stem cell translational medicine and the intersection of surgery and global health. He studied biomedical engineering at the University of Toronto, working in Dr. John E. Davies‚ group. His graduate research focussed on improving rhBMP-2 delivery for osseous regenerative medicine. While in Toronto he co-founded StemCellTalks, a national high school outreach organization focussed on the science and practical ethics of stem cells.
