Crave
Crave - Video concept
It starts set in a Very clean, all white room. Paris on a large white bed, checking her phone with a dissapointed
look on her face. She throws her phone to her side, looking all glum. Paris starts singing the lyrics, while singing
she moves around on the bed and moving the sheets around her provocatively. When the chorus is about to kick in (the
robotic "the way that you talk" part) Paris throws the sheets in the air and with some good editing, it's like she
throws out the sheets and long material is blowing in the wind (the material blowing out would be in slow
motion) and Paris is at a very 60's microphone wearing a white outfit with the long white material blowing out
behind her. She sings the the chorus at the microphone. The chorus ends and it cuts to Paris in a new set (think tron-meets-repunzel, instead of black and blue like in tron, it's white and pink) with long platinum blonde hair and
another white outfit and sitting on a white/pink throne (not unlike the one seen in My BFF elimination), Paris sings
the verse, calling out to whoever it is she's craving. She stands up as the chorus kicks and it cuts to a room full
of retro televisions piled ontop of each other (like the TV room in Tim Burton's Charlie and the Chocolate Factory
- again white and pink). The televisions flicker as if the signal is out and then Paris comes on singing the chorus,
this is all set up like a japanese advert, with Crave and I Crave You flashing up on the screen in japanese writing.
It shows the ad playing on all the televisions and also just shows the scene as one. As the chorus ends and the bit
with the guitar kicks in, Paris is shown sitting in a room of mirrors with pink lights flashing in the mirrors,
Paris moving around and dancing a little with lights flashing across her. She sings the next verse in the mirror
room, with close ups of her face and when the "our hearts are going to beat in perfect sync" part plays, effects are
done so it looks like the whole scene cracks like a broken mirror and it shatters just as the chorus kicks in revealing Paris in a 50's style, tight fitting gown with her arms in the air, singing the song into a 50's style microphone. The other scenes are shown as the chorus repeats. As the song comes to a close, it shows Paris again in bed flicking through tv channels (they are the different scenes of the rest of the music video) she looks across to a door that begins to open and a painfully attractive man walks in, holding white and pink roses. He smiles at Paris, Paris smiles back. Pink cartoonish ribbons flow from both sides and come together to make a heart and "The End" comes up in a elegant font.
It'd all be quite campy and stylised and very fun. Very 'Paris'.
