"Participants need an Autodesk ID with Simulation Mechanical Flex, CFD Flex, or Moldflow Flex entitlements to use the tech preview." That's a bit of a tease! And kind of goes against what labs is all about.

"This default rule mimics the legacy copy design behavior, so if you do not require additional capabilities default will do the job, simply updating the part number, resetting the category to that of a new file and removing iLogic." Except, you could choose... in fact you were reminded to choose if you wanted to remove iLogic rules from the copied files or not. The new Copy Design just does it without informing the end user. Which could cause no end of trouble in some companies.
Epic work getting the File Revision rollback feature in there! Thanks.

Have you tried pointing it to a network drive? I haven't tried again in the last month or so, but each time I do it, it tells me I have to use a local/physical drive... which is weird and contrary to the whole point of the setting.

First of all the SSO Typepad experience NEVER works with Twitter... it constantly forgets that I've now approved it a gagillion times! Urgh. rant over... and onto the point of why I bothered. Congrats!! It sounds like a great opportunity. You should pop in and tell us all about it sometime :-)

Stunning!! Can you get it to generate a row per quantity now?? So if there are Qty 3 components, you can get it to report 3 line items? I've wanted to use Vault to generate component labels with barcodes for a long time. I'm really hoping this change supports that.

Thanks for the D&M mention Doug! Is the package service disabled for R2 as well then?

WOw, lucky. I've missed a few flights in the past because I've been dead certain of a time & date. I'm paranoid about it now. Good Luck mate!

Cool, thanks Doug. I must have missed the App which didn't work.
Doug, This does sound great. Is there a free version of Splunk? It appears as though it's quite expensive. How are you intending on using that? What's its purpose, could you use the same reporting engine Vault & Data Standard uses? Cheers Scott
Scott, I'd like to respectfully point out something. The page you have linked through to doesn't call it Autodesk Delcam FeatureCAM. However, it is an Autodesk Delcam FeatureCAM webpage... but that's not how it's been worded in this post. I'm sorry you got Banquered. cheers Scott.

It would be awesome if you could switch over to the Disqus commenting system like Kean has. aaand the reason for the comment. Thanks for sharing this, I've been wanting an alternative for a while.

Hey Shaan, It would be awesome if you could follow Kean Walmsley's lead and get Disqus installed on here. Anyway, I think you guys should run some beta competitions to encourage participation as well. ;-) Cheers Scott

Hey guys, please switch over to the Disqus commenting system like Kean Walmsley has. The Typepad log in system sucks. Anyway, AWESOME work by Erik. What a find!
aaaaaand.... now of course ADMS 2014 is quite happy to get a license from LMTools v11.12. Stupid program. At least it works.... for now. Cheers.
There was no error that I could see in LMTOOLS for Vault 2015 licenses.... Please note that 2014 ADMS won't read a license from V11.12. So if CAD Managers upgrade to V11.12 to start testing 2015 CAD applications, then they will need to upgrade the ADMS to 2015 as well. I will update my Blog post here about that. http://designandmotion.net/autodesk/vault/autodesk-vault-2015-licensingerror-319-20/
Good call. But sometimes, the people installing the software aren't the ones downloading it. If people don't read the readme file to check for installation information, then it's their fault. Why does LMTOOLS report that the license file is being read fine, when in fact it's not? If it threw an error, then people wouldn't spend time troubleshooting in other areas.
Thanks for sharing this. However, I wasn't aware of your blog, and searching for licensing issues & the error code found in the ADMS didn't return this post as a result. I spent a solid 5 hours over the weekend troubleshooting VM network configurations & license issues, reinstalling this & that, so realize by myself there was a later version of NLM. This kind of information NEEDS to be in the products README files, as well as on this blog. what a chronic was of my weekend.
So does Sub Rel 1 SP1 contain the same fixes as SP2 does? In other words, is it actually SP2 for Sub Rel 1?
It looks like Vault 2014 Sub Rel 1 SP1 won't install on Win 8.1! It tells me Microsoft WSE 3.0 is required. But it's already installed & I've reinstalled it just in case..... This isn't a production Vault, but it is a test Vault. So although I realise Windows 8/8.1 isn't officially supported for Pro editions, everything else has worked so far. Any ideas?
Last week I did a number of tests with ReCap 360 capturing my 3D Connexion SpaceMouse Wireless. The results were the best I've had with any Autodesk Photogrammetry software. However, it has the height of the SpaceMouse ~30mm incorrecy. ~80mm instead of 54mm. Is the user expected to index the scale of the object within ReCap every time?

Please can you clarify where you can change the setting shown in Option 2?
Thanks Doug
Very nice work Doug! Thanks. I'm looking forward to getting over this hump of work for AU, then getting stuck into making loads of mistakes and asking an excessive number of mistakes with the REST API. See you in Vegas.
