OK. On the premise that we are to keep QT - I would only allow the cross-benches to ask questions as we all know the government and opposition are going to offer pavlovian responses from each side. That way the press gallery journalists can stay and do something useful. Otherwise abolish QT and focus on the legislative debates like the Carbon Pricing one going on at the moment or Amendments to National Security legislation or whatever may be going on. All this is way more important than someone repeating the same thing over and over again. Over and over again. If today's opposition asked questions based on intellect instead of appealing to base emotion there may not be a need to change. As it currently stands there is a desperate imperative need to change.
