Not true folks. If you listen to all the auto manufacturers, yes, batteries are improving but you will still need something else besides just batteries to design a vehicle that will go over 100, 200, 300 miles, be able to efficiently travel at highway speeds and is larger than a small urban commuter. For example, at 300 mile range, batteries take up twice as much space and weigh twice as much as a hydrogen system--not ideal for vehicle design. And hydrogen and batteries work best together? If you want a zero emission vehicle, you need hydrogen for long range and fast fueling and you need a battery to capture energy from braking and slowing down.
