I wanted to share some photos from the Nerf themed 10th birthday party I threw for my son. It turned out really well and the kids had lots of fun. I made this Nerf themed birthday cake and used rolled... Continue reading

Here are the new zippered pouches I have for the holidays. These make great gifts for friends, family, and teachers. I plan to give some to our teachers with gift cards inside. New style with handle is great for holding... Continue reading

Oh yes, and I love spring because of the cherry blossoms, and it means the warm weather is finally, hopefully, on it's way.
I am trying to bind a big (two hand) pot holder with rounded corners and struggling, any tricks to suggest?
This looks like a great book, my son is 7 and I was worried it might be too young, but am pleased to see that your kids seem to like it. Would love the chance to win, thanks!

Hugs from Seattle, hang in there. Gotta love the pancakes, are the Bob's Red Mill GF ones? Those are the best we have found, I like them but Royal doesn't so that does us no good.
I started eating vegetarian about a year ago and often was frustrated that in Everyday Food, "vegetarian" seemed to mean pasta or side dish. But I have been pleased to see lately that they are listing a whole "Vegetarian Main" in the index, yea! I recently made the Mushroom and Black Bean Tortilla Casserole (Jan/Feb 2001, page 81) and it was a big hit, I will be making again this week.

Good for you! I am glad to hear things are going well, it is incredibly hard but incredibly rewarding.
Good for you for recording all these wonderful memories! I sure wish I had, but was in such a haze I didn't. Hope all is going smoother, sounds like it is. Happy New Year!
Looks like a great new quilting book!

Your burp cloths are wonderful, it will be nice to have something pretty to look at, I find having some nice things like that are refreshing. I found I used a lot of what I didn't think I would (burp cloths) and didn't use some of the things I though I had to have (some of those gadgets). I think your list is great, and the suggestions in the comments too. Take care!
I am so excited for you! Being a mommy is a wonderful ride, best I have ever been on.
Leslie it's wonderful! I love the patterns and layout you chose.
What a lovely shot of the soba noodles! Good for you on the drawing class, I am sure you will enjoy it.

That was an ambitious list - good for you for checking so much off! I love lists too, sometimes in my head, sometimes on paper. On paper helps me to clear my head. Grandma's are awesome, I agree.
That quilt looks great! I was pawing through my fabrics yesterday, but with our house under remodel, I have not space, and told myself I would just have to be patient. And I am with you, I totally choose books by their covers.

Apple galettes, sound fancy but so easy, I have been making them every weekend. Sometimes with berries, sometimes peach, always good.
