I check the cute overload site a few minutes a day to decompress from all the mayhem and despair. Its a nice way to start the day, or take a mental coffee break.

Dear Mrs L., Sometimes, the point is so well made- no further comment could possibly enhance the well thought out argument. Mr Avrech's post is one such argument. Without the 2nd Amendment in the Bill of Rights, the other 9 cannot exist for long. Nature's Law, The Law of our Creator insists upon it. Cheers! Skwerl

Excellent recap of the terror and fear the citizens of L.A endured during the riots. This is why 'we' are the First Responders. We are ultimately responsible for our own lives- and the preservation of the same. Totalitarians & Progressivism cannot abide a populace that is A: Responsible & B: Ready to Defend any and all threats to life, Liberty and Property. They cannot abide because it negates our need of them and their 'enlightened leadership'. Thank you for sharing this story with us, Sir. Cheers, Skwerl

Amen Sister!!! Close to everything I own is black or denim. 1 load, one temperature...easy on the detergent. I haven't the patience or the time to nursemaid my laundry.

Sadly, this is the culture I was brought up in- the culture where marriage vows only mean something while you're in the honeymoon period. Filth and low morals are considered 'female empowerment' and husbands are for nothing more than 'the guy who takes out the garbage and lifts heavy things.' I will be 40 this year and have been single for quite a while- as I have raised my standards and expectations of what an appropriate relationship should be. I spent my 20's & 30's focused on the shallow and romantic, wondering why it felt so banal, lackluster and fizzled so quickly. When I finally do settle down, I will follow yours & the Rabbi's sterling example how to behave in a real, proper and loving relationship- and expect the same in return. Thanks you Mrs. Lapin, I really enjoy your weekly musings.
