This is lovely. I really like sleeves that aren't "set-in" ~ bet you can tell I'm not a sewer, eh ;-) They just seem more comfortable for my ample figure LOL

Gosh, Clarice, $8 a yard sounds pretty good to me! Oilcloth is very expensive over here in the UK ~ so far the cheapest I have seen is about £13 which is roughly $24 according to the currency converter LOL When I did a "deep-clean" and sorted out my kitchen, I wanted to use oilcloth to line my drawers and shelves but have had to use a temporary stop-gap, which is a plastic tablecloth...Have to say it hasn't been terribly successful as it just isn't heavy enough to lay flat, especially on the shelves ~ think I may have to start buying oilcloth a yard at a time!

Just thought I'd let you know that I'm here in Hertfordshire ~ we've got the dreaded hosepipe ban already.....and yes, we've had rain virtually every day this last week! Of course, it's not the "right" kind of rain though *wink* Love your blog, visit nearly every day to see what delightful things you've been up to.

That wonderful "mother love" simply shines out from your post ~ no matter how big our "babies" grow, they are still our babies *smile* I often find myself looking at my gruesome twosome, wondering how on earth they can be 15 already, when the day of their birth is still so fresh in my memory! Happy Birthday Tom.....from yet another mother who is defo uncool and sad ~ and is rather proud of it *wink*

We have lots of birds visiting our garden, all year round, which is really nice. I often find myself watching them out of the window when I really should be doing my housekeeping!

How pretty your cabinet looks Clarice! Like you, I also have to "think out of the box" LOL I am thinking of doing something like this on the backs of my kitchen cabinets now that I have taken off the doors!
