How did De Andre Way do? Nas is a veteran damn near 20 years deep and niggas STILL hating. It is a shame that an artist that actually has talent and cares about the culture recieves this much hate...that is a TRUE sign of his GREATNESS. And to think this article was Robert Townsend's opinion about Nas being underrated and people use it as a platform to hate.

you ar the "dumb" fuck because you stated: "but in the last ten years all he really did was hiphop is dead and Nigg*r album." Nas has put out 4 albums in 10 years. Oh I was off by one year with Stillmatic but all the rest have been in the past 10 years you dumb fuck. By the way Souljah Boy Tellem was releaesed in 2007 not 2008 with Nas Untitled. iSouljah Boy Tellem was released in 2008 and that album sold a total of 45,507 copies in it's first week.

Can you explain to me what does this article have to do with Nas dominating the rap game when B.i.G and Pac passed or him taking 3 yers off for Jay to take his spot? Niggas go off on trantrums. So the opinion of Nas dominating...obvious had NO negative affect on his craft/ability. So again what pressure was he suppose to be under? For some one whose spot was taken Nas has succeeded anyway doing exactly what he wanted to do in the maaner he wanted to do it in.

What pressure? Nas is still killing in 2012. There was NO spot to be taken because he is continuing to do his thing. Nas' only competition is himself.

You stated: "but in the last ten years all he really did was hiphop is dead and Nigg*r album." In the past 10 years Nas has a total of 5 solo albums Stillmatic, God's Son, Street Disciple, HHID, & Untitlted. Nigga just say you hating and call it a night.

Nigga you act like YOUR opinion MATTERS or that it is a FACT. You are doing nothing but spreading your opinion and trying to pass it on as TRUTH! Souljah Boy did not go platinum in 2008...SouljaBoyTellem sold 45,507 copies in it's first week and has NEVER even went gold. Nigga STOP LYING...now that is the truth.

Only people that ride 'Illmatic' FOREVER are the Nas haters, negative critics and outdated fans. They use 'Illmatic' as a measuring stick to hender Nas...as if he has NOT been able to do anything good/great besides 'Illmatic.' Nas is the only artist in hip hop that is/was expected to re-create his first debut album for his entire career. When ever someone attempts to diss Nas they always say: "He has NEVER been able to outdo 'Illmatic.'" or "He can't live off 'Illmatic' forever." Well, considering he created lyrically one of the BEST if NOT the GREATEST hip hop album ever...Nas has already outdone damn near the entire hip hop community. You aked what has Nas done for the past 10 years? Nas has earned himself several platinum/gold certified plaques, won an Emmy for the 2011 ESPN 'Survival 1' documentary he narrated, directed and scored the music for, Nas scored the music for the 2010 Nike SB Paul Rodriquez's line, Levi endorsement, Fila endorsement, TDK endorsemnt & scored music for several Hollywood major motion pictures. Nas was asked personally by the Grammy's to score the music for their new 2012 Re:Generation documentary along with DJ Premier and other musical talents, and has toured the world from 2009-2011 selling out arenas for his collaboration 'Distant Relatives' album with Damian Marley. He also headlined the 2011 Rock The Bells Tour with the touring company Guerilla Union that he happens to co-own. Nas has collaborated with several of his peers within the last 2 years from Carlos Santana, Beastie Boys, Adele, Lil Wayne, Common, Mary J Blige, Rick Ross, CJ Hilson & K'Naan just to name a few (many more to come 1n 2012). This is just a small portion of the things Nas has done for the past 10 years. As for asking what hits Nas has made? Nas doesn't have to make hits he has album plaques. There are many artists with hit singles on the radio but NO album plaques. Nas is a rare breed of what an emcee is suppose to be. Hits don't make Nas GREAT...his talent does! Nas has don more in the past 10 years thenyou have probably doen in your entire life. Now ask your yourself what have you done in th past 10 years that comes close to being on Nas' evel?

Considering 2Pac had plenty of opportunities to as you stated "Shoot Yall Motherfuckers In The Fucking Face" and NEVER did and considering Suge and others close to 2Pac openly expressed that 2Pac made peace with Nas prior to his death is what separates you from Nas. Why would you disrespect a man in death or risk killing him in real life over words? Besides 2Pac was NO real threat to Nas or any other rapper during that time. It's a tragedy that Pac and Biggie allegedly lost their lives to this type of this nonsense.

Nas is mature and too humble for the weak minded. While you weak minded still debate about who won, who told jokes or who told the truth Nas and Jay-z are living a life of SUCCESS and have moved on to better things in life. Damn near 11 years later and this debate is still a topic. Nas expressed in this interview that they have better things to do than to discuss ETHER but yet the weak minded due to their own lack of achievements want to keep this old ass beef alive in their heads...GTFO!

When people comment about Nas the majority of the time they have NO clue about Nas as a man or artist. They base their belief on what is acceptable in the industry at the moment "catchy beats" and try to place those generic standards on Nas. Nas is a legend, lyrical genius and he has been creating quality music for damn near 2 decades... Nas has 8 platinum and 3 gold albums and has NEVER had to depend on beats to sell albums or tour the world. So when it come to Nas I pay attention to what he states about his creative process and not of those that want him to go with the flow of picking "beats" like every other fly by night rapper that is only hot for the moment...Nas' lyrics will be around forever!

I should of asked you the same question? But it's obvious you wouldn't know how to answer it...LOL! Good day!

Nas also was on a worldwide tour from 5/2009 up until 9/2011. Nas toured for damn near 2 years off of his collaboration album 'Distant Relatives' with Damian Marley. There is more to being an artist than pumping out music every 12 months. No other genre demands music like hip hop and you hip hop fans are the least likely to support the artist but yet want them to make music just for you to STEAL it off the internet.

That's right Nasir take your time...your real fans understand. These fake rap CD listeners will do nothing but hate and talk shit per usual.

This is also a charity benefit concert sponsored by United Way. Wyclef Jean did the same thing in 2001 except he had other opening acts while he headlined. Thanks by the way...knowing some history is important but many people blindly believe that NO other emcees have ever performed at Carnegie Hall before...LOL!

Jay-z is NOT the first hip hop act to headline or perform at Carnegie Hall, but he is one of many emcees that have performed at the iconic venue. Afrika Bambaata and Grandmaster Melle Mel was the first offical hip-hop artist to perform at Carneguie Hall in 1985. Wyclef Jean's headlined an All-Star Jam Charity Concert at Carnegie Hall in 2001. Mos Def & Jay Electronica also performed at Carnegie Hall in 2008. MC Lyte was one of the first rap pioneers to ever perform at Carnegie Hall as well.

You still don't stick to the topics...what does Nas baby momma drama or being robbed have to do with the fact that Nas is a SUPERIOR artist than 50 Cent? 50 Cent will NEVER have the longevity as Nas but the difference between Nas and 50 Cent is that Nas has the natural gift to continue on, as well as, do other ventures that he desires to do. You avoid the FACTS when it comes to Nas and go straight to the gossip...like a true 50 Cent fan. That is why Ross was able to defeat the buck teeth bully!

Nas has smashed every single collaboration he was requested to be on since 2009 to present. Nas has collaborated with the likes of the great Nat King Cole, Damian Marley, Carlos Santana, Estelle, Mary J. Bilge, Lil Wayne, Amy Winehouse, C.J. Hilton, Raekwon & Mobb Deep ect. Nas still has future collabs with Nelly Furtado & Melanie Fiona ect. Every artist has seen a decline in album sells. You stated people don't check for Nas like that anymore but yet, his solo concerts have sold out. Whenever he released his new single/video "Nasty" he became a worldwide trending topic on twitter. When every he does "Ask Nas" on twitter he is a trending topic as well. I'm glad to be a fan of Nas...he is talented and doesn't give a fuck what people like you think. That is why he is still NASTY...Only The Strong Continue! Any artist that has been blessed for 20 years and counting to be so gifted will NOT do it at the same intensity that he did at the age of 17. But one thing is for sure Nas is still lyrically gifted and he proves that on songs such as: Outro, Nasty, Ghetto Dreams & Feel Inside ect. Nas is stronger than you present to be because while you show weakness in character by gossiping about Nas. He is stacking his millions, riding his new Range and living in his new home in LA...LOL! Nas is the King of this shit don't be dumb...he has been in the game since 1991! It truly has been real but I must now log off...because my work is now complete (real work) and you are no match for me. You are a gossiping Queen...good luck in life! Remember haters NEVER prosper!

Wow...you are right this is AMERICA and Nas is living the AMERICAN DREAM while you HATE! I have a few questions: Where is the poll revealing that the MAJORITY of America thinks that “Nas sucks.” Show me the proof were Nas called Jay-z his “boss”…then who was Jay-z’s boss? Considering he was a Def Jam artist/employee himself. Where did I criticize 50 Cent of anything? So co-owning a touring company, investing in documentaries, real estate (commercial property), and other investments doesn’t make Nas a business man? Here are some words to think about: “Nas is a good businessman; he wants to do what he wants to do and he attaches his name to things that matter of substance.”-Steve Stoute (Complex Magazine 2011). In this same interview Steve also stated that, “Nas is clearly a better artist than 50 Cent.” LOL!!!! By the way I don’t follow “other men” nor am I in “denial.” You have yet to dispute anything that I stated as facts pertaining to Nasir Jones…such as his (endorsements, touring company, Emmy Award & reduced child support) but you continue to bring up topics such as Jay-z being Nas’ boss and won the war (so 2006) & Nas’ baby momma who fucked Jay-z ( so 2001). But when I answer your questions such as “Ask Nas about the checks he gives his baby momma every month?” You go off topic again…could it be that your only defense is to bring up 5 to 10 year old gossip that has absolutely nothing to do with this post about 50 Cent wanting to channel the type of music that Nas and Biggie has/had to offer the industry. Everything you state about Nas is based on opinion NOT a fact because there are many who don’t share the same sentiment that you do about Nas. People like yourself who hate on Nas have NO clue of what he does because you don’t have an interest in him. Those that follow his career know that he does many things under the radar. As he stated, “I do a lot of other things on the low, but I'm mostly proud of the music." Nasir Jones (HHDX interview May, 2011). Besides, “real bosses move in silence.”-Nas P.S. Never said DR went gold but every single one of Nas’ major solo albums and collaboration albums (besides DR) have all received multiplatinum/platinum or gold certified plaques (8 multiplatinum/platinum albums and 3 gold albums)…this is FACT! I let you know when DR receives its plaque…LOL!

What about Distant Relatives? It has sold about 400k to date in the US. But your claim was that Nas would struggle to go gold up against 50 Cent and I proved that theory wrong. Every last single one of Nas' solo albums and collaboration albums (besides DR) has all received certified multiplatinum, platinum or gold plaques. Nas has a total of 8 multiplatinum/platinum albums and 3 gold albums...this is NOT including Lost Tapes (sold over 400k copies) & his Greatest Hits album. Nas has released a total of 14 albums since his debut 'Illmatic' in 1994 (17 years) and has a certified plaque for every single MAJOR solo release (excluding DR), including the Firm and QB Finest (11 plaques out of 14 albums). .It's not how you start but how you finish...Fact!

C-sign! But when it comes to Nas people NEVER deal with TRUTH...they allow they dislike for him to take over and they base their assumptions about his career based on the views of other gossiping haters. Nas has NEVER been and artist that comes out the gate with huge first weeks sells but he has managed to go multiplatinum/platinum a total of 8 times and gold 3 times. Every last single one of Nas' solo albums have recieved a certified plaque (platinum or gold).
