I remember that shirt called nine. Love it! It’s so much fun watching things change over the years. You have taught us about non attachment and being willing to go with the flow when we create. Such valuable lessons. ❤️
Before More Rain...
The laundry. (And a few sniffles.) A joy that never ends. I love to hang laundry outside. We never had a dryer growing up. So glad to have laundry line memories. Maybe I love cloth more because of that. The shirt I call Nine (you might remember from Contemporary Boro). On the line. I've done m...
I can comment today! Everything seems to be working just fine now.
This is such a nice place to gather.
I get totally sidetracked on Instagram!
Quilting
Yes. I have settled back in here. Leaving Feel Free as a reference for this place. Just a place to organize stuff so it can help me, keep me from losing my way. I will leave it there, simplify it's appearance a bit. And you don't need to worry about it at all. There will be pointers if needed....
Such a nice surprise to see you in my inbox!
Now that the days are getting longer we will all be feeling a little brighter. I love your tree...it will make someone very happy. And there is something special about a hand written note. ❤️ Really cold here now too!
Suddenly, it' almost January
Just popped in to say hi. I figured a journal page is good enough as a posting tool. Back to the no typing thing. Easier to post one photo here instead of trying to compose on the screen. Simple. I'm not getting anywhere in terms of where I thought I was going. Just hello and I'll try to be...
Oh yes! Contemporary Boro Class was one of my favorites! This will be a fun time to begin another robe. I can feel everyones excitement building.....yours too! Such a wonderful offering for these crazy times...Thanks Jude!
Hunker Down and Shelter in Cloth as Place
This, again, is the bird robe. Today. A large cloth project from way back, that I still shelter in. Just appropriate for the times. Some folks have expressed interest in making a simple robe. Have asked about the method. I will be talking about using old garments when I get to pre-existing bas...
Oh Acey! This is so much what I’ve been needing...and just now figuring out! Thankyou for your gorgeous post. We are still waiting for spring to hit us here south shore of Boston. Pretty soon the yard and gardens will be exploding with flowers! Stitching and gardening...a beautiful pairing.
essence preparation - nuts & bolts .1
The picture above shows an essence bowl set upon a battered wooden TV tray. It's sitting within the midst of our evolving sanctuary garden and the bowl is full of Bottle Gentian flowers. Took the pic just before harvesting and processing the mother stock there in the later summer of '18. ...
Beautiful photo.
Good luck with the car!
March tease
Almost 70. Yesterday. Ha, like me! Rain, sun, wind, fog. No snow. That's coming next along with cold. The Japanese Andromeda bloomed. Must have been overnight. Reminding me that life goes on even when it doesn't. New York, they say, now has 40% of all cases in the country. The car won't start,...
I heard you loud and clear.
Your blog has been a steady normal for me all these years and although I don’t comment often I want you to know that I am here...and really glad that you are here too!
I am so thankful for this wonderful community of stitchers that meet here.
How blessed are we to have this circle of friends!
I’m looking forward to this next chapter in our lives.
Big hug to all!!!

How it might Happen
Where, when we begin. What is added. And then what will be taken away. What we do about it. And why. How? Honestly, I feel suddenly privileged to be taken down a few notches. To be a bit more sure about unsure... and still keep going. This is just an audio test, talking and not planning wha...
This looks so peaceful and cozy...HOME❤️
Happy Solstice to you!!
Happy Solstice
it was a beautiful sunrise we are here and he is ok
I’ve been following your journey and it feels exciting. I like your point of view. You are good with going with the flow..much like your cat and the mat!
Almost August
Hey. I can say that July was the fastest and slowest month I ever remember. Or maybe I have lost all sense of time. And place. I'm detached. I am here. But no longer home. Maybe it was just a necessary step. Making space for the new. Even if it is unknown. Making a place to hold it. Soul-o h...
Good on the iPhone too.
Crazy weather...back and forth.
Nice cozy loft.
Just Saturday
Home. Organizing. Looking around and realizing we really do have less these days. Less to move when the time comes. Most of it is cloth. Or paper. Definitely less furniture. I'm testing an audio player today. And an alternative link. The YouTube format I use is time consuming and sometimes...
I had to come out of the background to tell you how wonderful this will be! All that fabulous energy going into a big cloth! Like Grace said... 'it sounds Very ok.'
Filling a Space with a Field of Stitch
Stars are continuing. Because I need a million and I am counting the ways. The field of stitch is a nice less dense way, to create shapes, focus, and texture without covering the background. I discussed this a while back in Small Journeys, here, naming it at times in the past as Coloring Book Qu...
Dearest Grace.....I am witnessing.
Leaning into It
if you click it, you can see how the tallest of the native sunflowers LEANS and arcs toward the Earth. Summer is letting go. the others i cut and fed the Goats, the seeds having been eaten quickly by finches and the wild canary. it was a Work Away day...to the Windmill house, the ...
Hey Jude! Love this new stray...at first glance I thought there was music coming from the eyes!
Maybe there is.
Hello. it's Almost September
In between I am. Some old basket (which often seems moon like) is unraveling. And the Almost September Stray (temporarily tail-less but not tale-less)... ...she got caught up in the overwhelming scale of basket-self-less-ness and is being transformed by the vastness of it all.
The rhythmic spinning and intoxicating piano music was pure joy to my senses! So lovely!! Thank you for lightening up this cold, snowy winter evening.
cheered by my Moon
While completely absorbed in my wallow about the day, Moon came in asking, "Mom, do you ever have a funny feeling deep inside of you that makes you want to jump up and down with happiness? It's like a mysterious goodness!" He then went to the piano and began playing my very favorite pie...
Birthday blessings to you Jude! You have made such an impact on so many lives....influencing so many journeys through stitch!
A small seed stitch for each year is such a simple gesture yet so "Grand"!
3159 posts is quite an accomplishment! Phew!
Sixty Four
Just a little birthday cloth. ( post # 3159 ! )
I have come here for a visit...to catch up on you and your goats and your desert home.
I love this post and am so happy for you that your granddaughter is showing an interest in what you love. I want to get my hands on that blue book....I LOVE Mooji!!
Back Tracking, but just returning, by Just Going
This is pretty much just a Journal Page. Wanting to Mark the day. Wanting to leave a Mark of sorts of this day in October, 2014. so i might know, at some time still coming. And to say that i don't know anything at all about any of this. That it still is coming and i don't know. Don't...
