What's to like about this article? It comes of as quite condescending, and worse- uninformed. It's obvious the writer lives in the suburbs (I'm betting on Chesterfield). What's up with that dumb comment about SUVs with W stickers? St. Louis City voted for Obama by a higher percentage than Philadelphia in 2008, so that remark just sounds stupid. Even St. Louis County is solidly democratic. It just the same rehashed predictable suburbanite's view of a city she doesn't even know. I thought the article does more to hurt St. Louis' national image than help it. "Oh St. Louis is boring and conservative, but it's a great place for kids!" Garbage.
