I found out last evening that Eugene Yap's (principal) team is now designing a second generation I/OWB that will use a MILSPEC nylon (the same type used on rigger's belts) and velcro to taking place of... Continue reading

As many of you know, in mid-February Cheryl G. at Kaluban Cloak ( was kind enough to send me their new leather backed Inside the Waist Band or "IWB" convertible holster for testing and evaluation (T&E), and I have been working with it ever since. Holster shown attached to leather backing for IWB carry The holster is designed as an IWB that can quickly convert to Outside the Waist Band or "OWB" carry without the use of tools. Kaluban achieved this by way of affixing two wide and flat Kydex “J” hooks which are themselves screwed and sandwiched between the leather backing and the standard adjustable “C” hooks by means of two common phillips screws (see below photo) on both sets of hooks. Holster shown detached from leather backing for OWB carry To remove the holster from its leather backing and convert your IWB to an OWB, all you need... Continue reading

"Auburn, Alabama is home to sprawling plains, Auburn University, and a troubling police force. After the arrival of a new police chief in 2010, the department entered an era of ticket quotas and worse. ‘When I first heard about the quotas I was appalled,’ says former Auburn police officer Justin Hanners, who claims he and other cops were given directives to hassle, ticket, or arrest specific numbers of residents per shift. ‘I got into law enforcement to serve and protect, not be a bully.’ Hanners blew the whistle on the department’s tactics and was eventually fired for refusing to comply and keep quiet. He says that each officer was required to make 100 contacts each month, which included tickets, arrests, field interviews, and warnings. This equates to 72,000 contacts a year in a 50,000 person town. His claims are backed up by audio recordings of his superiors he made. The... Continue reading

Baltimore, MD -- Jimmy Hoffa was the leader of one of the most influential labor unions in the country when he disappeared in 1975. Seven years later, the authorities declared him legally dead, and there's been speculation ever since about where he ultimately ended up. In fact, there was a running joke that he was buried at the 50-yard line of the old Giants Stadium. The real question, however, is whether this former labor leader would be spinning in his grave if he found out his modern-day successor was railing against the Democrat currently occupying the Oval Office. Especially when that successor is his own flesh and blood. It appears that the administration might lose another set of key allies in their final push to get the Affordable Care Act (ACA), commonly known as Obamacare, ready by Jan. 1, 2014. James P. Hoffa, Jimmy's only son and current general president... Continue reading

But Oliver Stone isn’t buying it. If what you are using is so uncomfortable that you either wear it less, or gradually quit carrying altogether, you have defeated your primary purpose in carrying - That being said, don’t expect to begin carrying without a certain degree of initial discomfort, as it takes time to adjust your body to carrying a firearm. Republican Florida State Senate President Don Gaetz showed the true face of tyrannical RINOs in the Republican Party when he openly laughed and mocked the Constitutional principles espoused by KrisAnne Hall, an attorney and former prosecutor, who supports the Tenth Amendment and the right of the States to nullify unconstitutional laws implemented by the federal government. Yesterday the Gun Owners of America (GOA) pointed out Bob Costas ignorant and deceptive comments on O'Reilly's show: Bob Costas appeared on the O’Reilly Factor Wednesday night in an effort to explain his ill-informed comments about guns that he made over the weekend. Using one of Sunday’s football games as a platform to express his views on guns, Costas (who was quoting a sports writer) said that the Kansas City linebacker who killed himself and his girlfriend this past weekend would still be alive today “if Javon Belcher didn’t possess a gun.” Click here to read GOA’s original response to Costas’ Sunday remarks. Because Costas’ remarks have stoked a nation-wide controversy, O’Reilly invited Costas onto his show to clear away the “confusion.” Taking his cue, Costas led off the interview saying that he knows Americans have a right to bear arms and that he never intended to enter the political... Intuitively, most of us realize the state makes a mess of everything it touches, and we would be well served if we extended this understanding to all aspects of our lives, including security. Face it; no one can protect you better than you can protect yourself. Continue reading

Romney Won the Debate, But Will the Country Lose? Mitt Romney's and Barack Obama's visions for government are more alike than different. "The bad news from last night's debate affects those of us who suit up for neither Team Red or Team Blue and the 60 percent majority who feel government is already trying to do too much. Debate moderator Jim Lehrer constantly drew attention to the notion that Obama and Romney were in fundamental disagreement over the size, scope, and function of government. That they had radically different visions for the United States when it came to the issues under discussion. The candidates gamely obliged, saying yes to each invocation of hard-core splits. But such claims were nowhere to be found in what the candidates were actually talking about..." Read more here via Continue reading

Albert Einstein once said “The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.” Do we really believe we can trust those who have gotten our economy where it is today to fix the problem that they created? Do you really believe that the politicians who have ruined our economy can fix the economy if you give them even more power over your life? Continue reading

The outrages inflicted on Louise Ogborn... were made possible because she was effectively paralyzed by what the Appeals Court calls “the threat of authority.” Her former colleagues suffered from a kindred affliction – the delusion that “authority” can redeem immoral conduct. Continue reading

The choice today is quite clear. It is between peace, freedom and prosperity on the one hand, taxation, tyranny and impoverishment on the other. Faced with this fundamental choice, we should see clearly that what we desperately need to do is not limit or reform the tax system, but to abolish it – and breathe the fresh, clean air of freedom. "In short, the wish for socialism is a wish for unparalleled human evil. If we really understood this, no one would express casual support for it in polite company. It would be like saying, you know, there is really something to be said for malaria and typhoid and dropping atom bombs on millions of innocents." Continue reading

"The idea that material objects have the capacity to direct and control our behavior is so childish that you can see how nicely it fits into the state’s interests in keeping us as obedient children... Such a mindset helps to explain why our behavior is so irresponsible: we are the passive 'victims' of things that exercise their wills over us; material objects control us!" Continue reading

"I know that some would say (and have) that training a client to shoot and move with a loaded firearm is unsafe. Yet I would argue that not training a client to shoot and move safely with a loaded firearm does more harm than it does good, as doing so only transfers the training risk from the relative safety of the range to the much more hazardous real world environment where the safety net is not present." "It is of no use to object that the concept of "democracy" is nonviolent by definition. The same used to be commonly said of the concept of "socialism," which was also claimed to be nonviolent by definition – at least, that is, until the socialists’ death count reached a point where it was too embarrassing for honest men to ignore."
