When I was freshly 14, I flew from Rochester to Boston alone to visit my Dad. United was supposed to escort me through the airports, but no one ever showed up. Luckily, I'd been flying regularly with my family since I was an infant and was a rather independent child, so I caught my flights on my own with no trouble.
