Delurking here. I've enjoyed your blog for quite some time. I hope for the best for your mother. I am planning to retire in April from a job that I've had for over 23 years. I also have come to the conclusion that this is not the job it was in the begining, there been changes to management, mission, and benefits. It quit being fun six or seven years ago. It makes leaving bittersweet, but I believe that I'm ready to leave. Yes, I want to knit, spin, travel more, more and more. I want to see my grandchildren more, they just grow up so fast. And I tired of being tired when I get home from work, I feel like I want my weekends back to enjoy, not to try to catch up on all that I fell behind on during the week.
