It was a definite surprise because I have never seen a First Lady rock an outfit like that, but she looked hawt. She made me go do some crunches.

I think you already know that it's a red flag. Segzy time aside, anyone that's damn near forcing you to do ANYTHING that you're not comfortable with is someone that you don't need to allow into your life on any level.

If I were in middle school...maybe. Seriously? Are we talking about adults? Wondering why someone they didn't know was quiet the first time they met and they're still concerned months later? O_o

This. I rarely look at people's pages nowadays and unless something pops up in my newsfeed while I'm viewing I don't see it. But whenever I see someone on my feed that has the potential to irk me (FB prophets, people who type in all caps, Steve Harvey wannabes and dem damn high heeled sneaker models), I hide their profiles and keep it moving.

I wouldn't respond. I don't feel as though I owe anyone an explanation for how I choose to manage my free time online.

This is why people need to be psychologically evaluated before being allowed access to the internet. Whether or not its rape depends on the understanding between the couple. Some women may not mind and may actually enjoy being awakened in that manner. Some women would feel violated and taken advantage of. But having a page like that opens up the floodgates to a lot of sick individuals and impressionable minds. I would be sickened and embarrassed if I found out that my 19 yr old son made that page, but he's an adult. If he's living independently, I'm not sure what I could do.

I honestly can't think of a time that I've done that. I'm sure that if I have, I've blacked out that experience due to severe emotional and physical trauma. I still spell curse words if I'm repeating a story to her.

I would have a problem with it - not particularly because of the sexual component but because of the chemicals and side-effects. But ultimately, if it was the best choice I'd find a way to be OK with it.

Yep. She would be presented w/ every option available to her. The final choice (just like the sex) would be her decision to make.

No, but my guy's truck seats used to. LOVED THEM although it's a little startling when you're caught unaware and your azz starts tingling. O_o Really wish he wouldn't have traded it, tho. :(

I had my first "boyfriend" in nursery school. He gave me his juice every day at snack time and taught me to tie my shoes.

As soon as his 'lil azz can reach the pump and use it w/out spilling on himself. His daddy should be taking him in and out of the car to show him from the time he can walk, similar to the way our mamas made us sit in the kitchen to watch until we were old enough to reach over and help add ingredients to recipes.

I haven't read the afternoon comments but while I hear Ted's suggestions of essays and interviews - we do have interviews as a part of our membership intake process. I still question how the hell some of these folks got past that part. I don't know how it is on other HBCU campuses but one thing that happened at my alma mater was that the women do not turn out in droves for the rush anymore the way that they did for us. It's easy to pick 40-50 women out of 600. But out of 200? That's one of every 4 women being selected. Part of me wonders if it is because students don't see the impact of BGLO's on campus anymore and want to be a part of that impact. Or if they don't mix with the personalities of the members. Alumni chapters should also play a role in selection *cringing as I feel YoungSoJo side-eye me*. But since our organizations desire a LIFETIME commitment for members, I think that adults would bring a persepective to the selection process that goes beyond "the yard". The image thing is partially our fault. We have to become more visible to our youth than the YouTube videos. Even though in HS my only vision of sororities and fraternities was some warped School Daze fantasy, what really sold me was that every Delta I knew growing up was TIGHT. I used to joke about the new breed's vision of BGLO's was Stomp the Yard. But do they see real life role models that they want to emulate? Sure, we're out in the real world doing our thing but how many young people outside of our family and friends see us on a regular basis to KNOW how extraordinary we are?

Yep, I was turned on to this abt 5 yrs ago and it works well. I only wear it for special occasions. I've had some messy situations happen but they were totally due to me being careless.

"R'pubs stay fabricating facts!" And they will continue to do so as long as we continue to react the way we do - from an emotional place.

Everything everyone else said. Try lemon slices or lemon juice in your shower or bath. That also cuts underarm odor. Try a new ob/gyn too, if you don't feel as though you're getting the answers that you need. Everything with pores has a scent, but your "love below" shouldn't be rancid.
