Hall of Fame-Steroid Effect
Roberto Alomar and Bert Blyleven were the two newest members elected into the Hall of Fame yesterday. Both of them deserve this tremendous honor, and their careers show it. There is one problem I have with the Hall of Fame voting. Bert Blyleven played before the Steriod Era so he... Continue reading

Okajima re-signing is good for Sox
Over the weekend, the Red Sox re-signed LHP Hideki Okajima to a one year contract to bring him back to Boston, where he has played since the 2007 season. Oki has been a key member of the Sox bullpen for several years, but last year was a tough year for... Continue reading

Bunce I like how u always give good ideas as far as the Red Sox go. To answer your question, I could easily see Pap being replaced as closer if he struggles again. With Jenks in the bullpen, he could become the closer and switch roles with Pap, and then Pap would become a 7th or 8th inning guy. Or, the Sox could go to Daniel Bard, who is the future of the team at the closer position. My point here is that Jonathan Papelbon's closer job is in no means same heading into the 2011 season.
New Look Red Sox
I'm not going to lie, I did not expect the Sox to even come close to spending the amount of money that they already have done this offseason. This ownership group has spent over $300 million dollars in moves this offseason. Money aside, this team has improved dramatically. The Boston Red Sox hav...
Crawford
Doesn't he look great in a Sox uniform? Looking forward to this for years to come. Continue reading

Carl Crawford
Carl Crawford may not be a perfect fit for the Red Sox, but they are still certainly thrilled to have him on their ball club. After signing him to a 7 yr $142 million contract, the Sox landed one of the best players on the market this offseason and one... Continue reading

Adrian Gonzalez
The Sox answered the calls of fans across New England, pleeding for a move to be made. The Red Sox acquired 3 time All-Star Adrian Gonzalez this past weekend from the San Diego Padres for prospects Casey Kelly, Anthony Rizzo, and Reymond Fuentes. These were several of the Sox top... Goodbye Victor Martinez, Hello Rod Barajas
Victor Martinez has left town, accepting a 4 year $50 million deal with the Detroit Tigers. I loved him as a player during his time here with the Red Sox and I think he was a steal for the contract he received. I hope the Red Sox use the money... Continue reading

The 2010 World Series Champion: San Francisco Giants
I made it clear from the start what my predictions were for these 2010 MLB playoffs. I never would have guessed that the San Francisco Giants would win the World Series. I didn't even expect them to win a playoff series. When it all played out though, this savvy, fun-loving... Continue reading

Playoff Predictions
With the Red Sox officially ending their season yesterday, the 2010 MLB postseason is set to begin on Wednesday, with sadly the Red Sox on the outside looking in. It was a very long, tough season for the Boston Red Sox, but as a fan you have to be atleast... Continue reading

Looking forward to 2011
I am one of those fans who does not think the Red Sox are done this season. There is still a month and a half of baseball to play. Even though it seems very unlikely, baseball is one of those games where anything can happen. I do want to address... Continue reading

Playoff Push? Or Not
The trade deadline has now passed, and the Red Sox made a few minor moves today. They sent right hander Ramon Ramirez to the San Francisco Giants for minor league pitcher Daniel Turpen, and they acquired catcher Jarrod Saltalamacchia from the Texas Rangers for 3 minor league players. This will... Continue reading

Trade Deadline
With the trade deadline being at 4pm on Saturday, the Red Sox have some major needs on this team. I can't stress enough their need for bullpen help. Guys like Scott Downs, who has a 2.41 ERA and 19 holds this season could help them in this department, though probably... Continue reading

All-Star Game Voting
I am for the most part happy about the players that were named to be on the roster for the MLB All-Star Game in Anaheim coming up. The Red Sox I feel are well represented, with the likes of Clay Buchholz, Jon Lester, Adrian Beltre, and David Ortiz being invited... Continue reading

Nava and McDonald
Both Daniel Nava and Darnell McDonald are showing this season that they can at least contribute in the majors. Daniel Nava is a remarkable story, former player for the Chicko Outlaws of the Independent League now playing, well for now, with the Boston Red Sox. To top that off, he... Continue reading

Mike Lowell
Do you think the time has come that Mike Lowell is no longer going to contribute to the Red Sox? I think so. Lowell is a class act and has been one of the best all around players this decade, but it is time for him to be traded (if... Continue reading

Kolbrin Vitek
Red Sox selected him 20th overall in the MLB Draft just a few hours ago. He is a second baseman from Ball State who hit .361 and had 17hrs this season, as he went on to win Mid-American Conference Player of the Year honors. Vitek was also a great college... Continue reading

Ellsbury vs Fuentes
Jacoby Ellsbury better start to realize the fact that in sports you have to deal with injuries. If he does not figure that out sooner or later, he's going to be in trade talks. the Red Sox could get some great players for him, and they already have someone waiting... Continue reading

Red Sox Possible Acquisitions
Here are a few guys I would like to see the Red Sox go after to bolster the outfield and would make sense for the team: Carlos Lee- He is hitting .205 with 5hrs and 20 RBI, could be a solid right handed hitting outfielder that could play left field... Continue reading

Jeremy Hermida
Jeremy Hermida is hitting .231 with 4 home runs and 24 RBI's this season, in what has been a terrific performance in the replacement outfield role. Mike Cameron has been doing rehab starts the last few weeks, and he is set to be activated today. The Boston globe reported today... Continue reading

State of the Sox
So the Sox are 23-21, fourth place in the best division in baseball. In my opinion, the rotation needs to step up. Daisuke Matsuzka gave us a great start last night, but that is only one game. The Red Sox as a team have a 4.69 ERA and they are... Continue reading
