funny but when I tried to answer that I couldn't come up with anything that I'd be bothered to watch. Partly that's because of the coverage of the N American TV channels that tend to show just their athletes and also try to make you think that an event is happening live and is exciting when you have already seen the result on the web hours before.
Favourite sport to watch -- bobsled

but neither are actually black so why should they think they are. At best they are "chocolate " Both are biracial and therefore mulatto if anything.
But how does "thinking you are black " manifest itself ?

If Federer had won the 2016 Wimbledon title, likelihood of something happening would have been very very very high. What is the 'something'? First correct answer = Wall Of Fame listing. Winner / Correct answer: Friday, 22 July, 2016. Hint: It can be explained in two words per me. Second word sta...
That was my idea Ricke but you got there first. Bravo
Imaginary band -- I'm English ( as well as Canadian ) My family all live in England. All but one voted "stay " interestingly enough the one who voted "leave " now says that her vote wasn't actually to leave Europe -- she still wants single market, she still wants English people to have the right to live and work anywheree in the 27 countries, she juust wanted England to have control of its borders. Many seem to say that they never really knew what they were voting for.
A local paper here described the state of England as " they don't want to pay the subscription any more but they still want the magazine delivered every month !!

Thoughts on Federer's semifinal loss @ 2016 Wimbledon.
The Tomato Can affliction (Pella, Willis, Evans and Johnson) took a while to 'wear off' but it did - JUST in time - for a 'close' five set win over Medical Clinic. 27 aces didn't hurt either. Score: 6-7(4) 4-6 6-3 7-6(9) 6-3. Additionally, the hurt from the near-certain No. 18 @ US Open kicked i...
TP Can we have some pics from the Wimbledon Ball please, and not just of Serena and Andy.

yes, BJ , I never saw it coming out right . But to get that far from a nation that thought that the only sport worth following involved fighting on ice !!!.
His parents seem so nice -- totally non pushy.
But the future of tennis here is bright. We still have Nestor winning doubs slams, Pospisil has a lovely game but just doesn't break through, Genie is Genie , and we won the boys singles and Shapovalov and Auger Aliassime were runner up in boy's doubs.
Our club courts have never been busier and it's lovely to see.
Tomorow morning when I play my game in the senior men's group I will wear my New Balance sneakers and aim to serve 140mph !!!

FINAL: Murray (2) vs Raonic (6). Serena (1): WINNER. Doubles: HERBERT / MAHUT [1]: WINNER. WILLIAMS / WILLIAMS: WINNER.
"Milos just had to face Murray today". -- Murray is the second best player in the world and IMO easily as good as Nole was when he started beating Andy on grass. Fed on grass was the best -- I think better than Sampras, equal to Becker , but not as cute as Edberg

that's about right Gary. But murray played a lot of finals before he got his first win . Even your best strength can disappear under the nerves.
Maybe not this time

as our ex Prime minister Pierre Elliott Trudeau was once heard to say --- fuddle duddle --- at least that's the cleaned up version of what he said

Lose to Fed, Nole, Nadal, Murray 6 times --- there are scads of players out there who would love a record like that especially as he's beaten Fed at least 3 times, Nadal at least once ( I'm not a stats person ).
Of course I'm biased . You would be too if a local boy from your province ( where tennis hasn't been a big deal ) is putting himself and our tennis program on the map. And he doesn't scream, grunt, shout obsenities, disrespect others, or cheat .This is putting kids on our courts. It's great to see . Our local club has never been busier

for sure it is 0 versus 22 but Milos has come along in an age dominated by Fed, Nadal Nole and now Murray who are all older and still playing well. All admit it has been a very difficult thing for anyone to break through. Serena is older and has had very little competition -- partly due to lack of talent of others and partly her large size enables her to just blow people off the court . ( I think the Williams introduced power tennis to the game ).
Also the comms were mentioning last week that she has often played a limited schedule with long periods off which has allowed her to enter slams fresh while her opponents who play a full schedule generally have injuries or are tired. Don't know if it is true but it was said by a US commentator .

FINAL: Murray (2) vs Raonic (6). Serena (1): WINNER. Doubles: HERBERT / MAHUT [1]: WINNER. WILLIAMS / WILLIAMS: WINNER.
interesting double standard. Milos is a boring servebot, one trick pony, only wins because of a monster serve. Serena just won 7-5 6-4 purely because of the power of her monster serve which often didn't come back . Without all those free points on serve the score likely would have been the other way around as Kerber was her equal in groundstrokes annd had far fewer unforced errors.
just sayin

maybe it wasn't clear but "first wimbledon win " means first time of winning the wimbledon title and not just his first match win there

Possible reasons Federer's SABR (Sneak attack by Roger) could backfire?
Just you beating up on clowns in their prime - to pulp - at age 34 - at Slams which allows the most cashola for youngsters trying to stay afloat, leave alone other tournaments - is bad enough to initiate the process of NOT being welcome on the tour. Heard of Navratilova? Not only are you hitti...
yes he's a quick returner and fast and flexible but his shot selection is rather robotic as has ben mentioned here before. ( the diference Fed has over others is that his play is varied and shots are unexpected ) Many, Nole included have patterns that they use in a particular situation and that is perhaps why they will have to adjust to the rhythm if RF keeps this up , just as they have to adjust to a regular chip and charger or player who stands extra far behind the baseline.
Can someone explain the rationale behind the freaking SABR (Sneak attack by Roger)?
It seems the goal is to get as close to the net as possible - as quickly as possible. And how's that a good thing? I mean, you can get to the net by just the chip and charge tactic with a 'regular' return of serve - maybe even as close to the net as possible. Why risk moving forward and allow ...
if you've ever played you'd know how it upsets and disrupts the server if you stand on the service line to receive. But yes, the opponent can get used to it but it is still in the back of their mind. So much of what these players do is routines and patterns that they know and expect --- unlike club players who never know where the ball is going anyway
