People say you don't really know what love is until you hold your child for the first time. I always thought "Yeah..okay" The day I held my son for the first time was the day that everything for me changed. My fiance and I almost lost our son just hours before he was born, we never really knew what we had until it was almost gone. When our son was born he was born with Plagiocephaly and Torticollis. (Which means while he was in the womb he laid on one side of his head and it made his head flat and because of that he got Torticollis which makes muscles on the one side of the neck shorter than the other side.) My fiance and I were only 18 when we had our son on June 19, 2008. My son is the light of my life and there is nothing I would do to change that, his smile is contagious and he knows that with his smile he can get anything that he wants out of Mom and Dad. With all of the things that we have been through with our son it has made our relationship a lot stronger and made us better people. Stephen- We have been together for almost four years and there is not one single decision that we have made that I would take back and change if I had the chance to. You are my rock when I need someone to confide in. You always know the right things to say to me when I am down and feeling like crap, I know where our son gets his smile from because the minute I see yours I can't be mad at you any longer. Nobody thought that we would last as long as we have and I am so thankful to have someone like you in my life. If every person could experience a little bit of you they would know the love that I feel everyday when I wake up. Even though you are far away from us right now my love for you is everlasting and unconditional. I never would of thought the day that we met that we would be spending the rest of our lives together and I thank you for everything that you have done and continue to do for us as a family.
