The knuckleball is probably the most mysterious of baseball pitches, surrounded by a great deal of mystique. It is usually thrown at a speed significantly lower than that of “ordinary” pitches and with very little spin. The lack of spin... Continue »

Already! She's gained chubbiness, and I suspect at least 1.5 lbs already. She still sleeps a lot, but has longer bouts of being awake, and focuses on movement. Sometimes it seems as if she's in deep thought, which is unlikely of course, but she just looks more attentive vs. being totally checked out. She drinks with gusto, so much that quite frequently she will start coughing and heaving as if milk went down the wrong pipeway, scarying me sometimes. I don't recall Tesla drinking so fiestily. She pretty much hyperventilates if the boob is even a second late to her... Continue »

Aila is a Scottish name meaning "from a strong place" which is all the more apt since not only is she 50% Scottish, but after the delivery, we felt this name represented her. "Ai" also means love in Japanese so is just perfect. Plus, I like that the ending "la" matches Tesla : ) Many thanks to wonderful Michelle who graciously designed this delicate card that fits what we feel is Aila's personality so far. Continue »
