Amy I am so excited about your news and vblog. I understand the energy, inspiration and being guided by your hearts desire; fulfillment of that which is true and alive for you. Perhaps its the food of life rather than the fruits of labor. There is something which makes some folks follow the roads less traveled regardless of any blocks or challenges which may seem to be in the way. No fear. Releasing ones self of what is expected of the norm. Getting fresh air. Giving permission. Looking forward to hearing from you and your tasting of what I imagine will be a comfortable journey evolving into something even more!

You have so inspired me to do some random shooting today Amy! I forgot to also thank you for putting into words the passion of looking through the viewfinder, being thoroughly enveloped, completely engaged within that fraction of a second.

Its great you go sometimes, what a boost to see his growth in the industry! He will remember your moral support for his music was best shown by seeing some shows, this I know.
One of my favorites in chapter VIII, held within tattered covers of this 20th anniversary pb ~ "Perhaps we never appreciate the here and now until it is challenged, as it is beginning to be today even in America. And have we not also been awakened to a new sense of the dignity of the individual because of the threats and temptations to him, in our time, to surrender his individuality to the mass - whether it be industry or war or standardization of thought and action?" My first reading of this very same pb was along the shore of the Atlantic in a what was then a little spit of a town on the Outer Banks of North Carolina, Duck. We rented a cottage on the beach. I remember collecting shells from the most delicate to the sturdy conch and watching the wonder in a most adorable childs' eyes of the green glow of the night sea. Thank you for the memory jog Amy!

Having visited and photographed others' trees, living with mine are mere steps away ... I am amazed through the years at those who do not have the least bit of a desire to share a walk in the woodlands I hold so dear in my heart. The joy of the tree is not always a solitary experience, as you know well. Ah the tree - a marker for man through all time, in so many ways. 'Head south at the old tree (your buggy, your bug).' 'Buried it under that old oak, yep'. What has your tree been for others, who has it heard speak of her or his heart. To select a favorite leafy friend of mine would be tough, they are as cousins, scattered across the continent. Perhaps the ones I planted that represent each grandchild, for those are more in the ritual realm, and seeded from deep within. "If you chop into a tree, you can see that adjacent trees put out an electrical pulse," said Wagner. Thanks Amy for sharing your tree, and seeing the concentric circles which bind us together in so many ways.
And it is your sunflower Amy, I can't help but draw parallels at times - my seed-head was at age 39. There was a photo in mind to say it all ... has not been made yet :)
