I could have written this post myself - single woman who loves her books and her personal quiet space. And I have two rabbits, too! Some friends I have at church are the type you describe - their kids are grown and gone, so they keep a house full of youth as much as they can. Wonderful people, and I'm always refreshed whenever I spend time at their house. But it's so not my calling. I'm learning, though, that us "quiet types," the introverts, can be just as used by God as those who love to reach out all the time. There are other people like us, who shy away from the big groups and the endless activity, who can be reached and loved by a one-on-one conversation over coffee. Beautiful post. :)

Beautifully put. As a 35-year-old single childless woman myself, I can totally relate. I sometimes feel frustrated or feel like I'm not where I want to be. But thank you for the reminder that I can find love and joy anywhere, and that I should be the Light of Jesus to those around me, no matter where in life I am. :)

I'm tuning in late, so I didn't know that you were writing a book about Rose Wilder Lane. Having read all of Laura Ingalls Wilder's stuff at least a million times, I'm excited about reading this upcoming book. :)
