This is great, Stacy. Very honest, vulnerable and real. I won't say I agree with all of it, but I'll give you a thumbs up for presenting your truth. And that's what blogging is all about anyway. Ironically, I hear "your" story through out this entire post. And it actually makes me want to hear more about you and why you would publicly and passionately write this. This is by no means a slam or criticism.. I happen to agree with most you have said here. But MY truth is: I'm extremely interested in your story and how you are affected (and why) by what other Christians do or don't do. To say that "none of these people have abundant lives" would be an untruth. I, for one, live abundantly, but not in the category of money, houses, cars, things.. I have been through a lot of stuff, and maybe I've even appeared to present my story as ministry. But I do know this, I'm just a sign post pointing others to Jesus. And in order for this sign post to be relevant, coherent, kosher and theologically sound - and pointing to Jesus - my story has to be His story. Keep writing and expressing your heart. It's good. But also do research on other's stories, where their truth is never cashing in on the gospel. I use funds that I receive to help abused women and girls internationally. It's out of the box thinking, but none of this would be possible if I didn't share (in humor and music) my miraculous story of what Christ has done in my life.
