Thank you so much, Sean. Helping launch this community, and helping to grow (and quietly) moderate it was nothing short of theraputic for me. And while I know this post will vanish into the aether in a few hours, I want to add my own thanks. And Fen... TOLDJOOOOO!!! :-)

I don't know when Sean plans to pull the plug here, but I want to say that it's was a great ride. I want to thank him, Zach, Neal and Corey for their generosity in creating AND maintaining this unique little place on the web. If it was an experiment, I'd say it was a rousing success. I sincerely hope that you will join us over at Facebook if you haven't already. But since Facebook does not host gif images yet, I figured that I'll trot out Boogie Spock one last time. He's celebrating our past success, current fun, and future success. I'm at Facebook- and I'm on Google +, too. Lorie Johnson is my real name, and I go by that on Facebook. When I met Zach last month in Hollywood, one thing that struck me was that he called me Lorie, not Sunfell. That touched me deeply. Let's not say goodbye- let's instead say both "Live Long & Prosper" and "Good Luck".

It is improving, but I still go over my privacy settings relatively often, because they've mysteriously changed more than a few times. And I have apps switched off. Still, you're right, Sean- it's not as awful as it seems, although it is still blocked for me during the day. I have some functionality on my Chrome browser on my Nexus 7 (thank goodness- the Android app was total crap!), so I can peek in during the day. And I like the real-time communication, too. Now, to remember to bring my bluetooth keyboard so I can type at speed...

I'll miss some of the .gifs, but maybe Sean can kick off a companion Tumblr for ZQC gifs. We gotta have Balloon Cat and Boogie Spock! On a more serious note, we sure gave this site a good run. I am very honored to have been part of it from (almost) the start- and to be a part of the new one. I can peek in with my tablet, so I'm not totally walled out during work. (Thank goodness for Nexus 7!) Sean, I want to commend you, Zach, Neal and Corey for your kindness and generosity in providing this place. It is a unique place on the web, and I hope we can transplant that uniqueness and camaraderie to our new home.

Sadly, after nearly 3 years, the awkwardness and tension I always feel when I am around my sister and future-brother-in-law have not faded. In some ways, it's worse. It's like we're from totally different universes, but my sister does not understand this. She insists on trying to get us together for various things and that he's a nice guy, and I just have to be around him more. Oh, hell no. She still does not understand how rude and uncomprehending her fiance can be about simple things. I try not to hold grudges, but I also refuse to forget some of his more flagrant (and repeated) blunders. I like Diana's suggestion, and have done that (it is a pure power move), but even that opens things up to stuff I do not care for. It's easier to just stay out of their orbit. Ultimately, toxic things are best avoided and/or isolated.
