Jackie, I love that clever hook! I agree, we need to remember that reporters are people, too. Give them something that appeals to their interests and you've won half the battle. - Connie
Great tip, Wayne! Thanks for sharing. - Connie
Thanks for weighing in. My intent with this post was not to take a side, but to use the Chick-fil-A situation as a reminder that businesses large and small need to be prepared for the unexpected, with tips on how to handle things if they want to change the tenor of the situation. I apologize if that was not clear. As several have mentioned here, Chick-fil-A did say they had a record sales day and yes, that's great for any business. Only time will tell what the long-term impact of all this will be. - Connie
Thanks for the comment, Megan! Glad you enjoyed the post. - Connie
Thanks for the feedback! Much appreciated. - Connie
@Stephen: Thanks for the feedback and glad to hear you're using HARO.
Hi Tori - If you're talking about your own website specifically (not your press release that's posted on someone else's site), it's generally a good idea to link to other parts of your website if you can, in moderation. As far as whether it's equivalent to linking to an external site, search engines do not release the exact specs of their algorithms, so unfortunately I don't have a precise answer for that part of your question. Hope this helps! - Connie
Hi Steve - Each service has its own submission process, so you'll need to sign up for one first. The larger newswire companies are PR Newswire, PRWeb and Business Wire. There are also more budget-friendly ones such as,, and I encourage you to check these services out to see which one is best for your needs and budget. Good luck! - Connie
