slpteach2 - thanks for your comment! I used a regular loaf pan I'm sorry I don't know the measurements however you could use a pound cake and just cut it the same way. As for how to cut the cake into shape, under the second photo from the top there is a link to the Parenting.com site where I found the cake. There is a detailed description of how to cut the cake. I hope this helps and good luck with the party!!
Shark cake, fish cupcakes and a tip for transporting frosted cupcakes.
David's 4th birthday (my nephew) was last weekend and I got to make his cake again this year. Since he had just gone to Sea World - we decided a shark cake was in order. It would have been Shamu except do you know how hard it is to make black frosting? It's hard - last time I tried it was whe...

Non Candy Easter Basket Ideas for a Toddler.
This is really the first year I’ve put together something for The Boy from the Easter Bunny. He is only 2.5 years old after all. I think he will have fun looking for eggs in the yard and getting a treat basket so here goes. I wanted to put something together for him that would have fun things be...
Glad you liked it!
I finally put privacy film on the sidelight windows of our front door.
Hooray for walking around in my underwear in the kitchen!!! TMI, I know - but come on – admit you do it too. The sidelight windows of our front door look right into the kitchen and main hallway so I always felt a little weird that people could look in if they were at our front door. That’s a...

I didn't get a chance to read the comments on the other post about sheets but please check out Garnet Hill. Their sheets are heavenly and I mean, sleeping on a cloud while being warmed by the sun and having a chocolate IV kind of heavenly. My They are also always a little wrinkled but super soft and the flannel feels you're sleeping on giant marshmallows. Also they have unusual designs. I see Seabiscuit there - how do you like it so far?
Sleep In
My side of the bed is a mess of books. I try to pick them up every few days but it just doesn't work. Overpopulation. Most of the time one slides under the bed and I forget that I was even reading it. Lots of books, everywhere. Lately I've been falling asleep the minute I hit the pillow. I was...

A favorite kitchen tool - the mini citrus juicer or lemon reamer/strainer thingie as I call it.
So I love this thing. It is awesome. It's a lemon reamer and strainer all in one. Kicks some serious citrus heiny. The ribbed lid grips that lemon like nobody's business. Cut your lemon in half. Stick it on the... Continue reading
